    nice explanation. easy to understand mam. and I have one doubt. Why you draw the dotted line for Hydrogen. please explain mam

      Hey, I know I am kind of late to the show. Hopefully you have gotten your answer, if not I think I can explain. When drawing the structure of a molecule, the solid and dashed lines to the hydrogen atoms are used to show their bond angles as electrons have a "field" around them if you will, and don't like to get near each other. These electrons are called valence electrons and are the primary reason for why elements bond together and we can form compounds. I think that is the best explanation I can give. If anyone finds anything wrong please correct me!
