MTA NYCT - Tottenville HS School Trippers in the Canadian Wildfire Smoke [Staten Island] (6/7/23)

I just so happened to be in NYC visiting friends while the whole city had the worst air quality in the world! While on the way to the Huguenot Staten Island Railway station, air quality conditions began to worsen around 2-3pm as the smoke from the Canadian wildfires made its way to the northeast coast. If it weren't for the dense haze/smoke, it would have been mostly sunny weather. The sun created this yellow/orange scenery making NYC look pretty apocalyptic!
In this video you'll see the variety of bus routes that serve Tottenville High School in Staten Island, many of which don't regularly serve this specific area, transporting students to various destinations on the island back home.
