People are talking about how Joe was a terrible lawyer, arguing that Doc was mentally incompetent, but really, what else could he do?! Doc did the thing, and then bragged about it. Arguing insanity was pretty much the only way out.

    • @GuillaumePerronNantel

I'd say Joe was terribly prepared but had great arguments against Skizz while Skizz was well prepared but had bad arguments against Joe. But this is a tv show so the most entertaining one had more chance of winning, not the one proving his point the best.

If I were Joe, I would have tried to find evidence that Cleo stole the diamonds, even if she really didn’t. We don’t know who stole them as of right now, so framing Cleo for the situation would introduce some chaos into the case. Cleo would have stolen Doc’s diamonds beforehand, therefore Doc was justified in seeking retribution, and thus cannot be considered guilty.
That would extra funny if she actually did steal the diamonds, too.

@@Poseidon4862.In a real court two wrongs don't make a right though so while certainly an inciting incident; being wronged does not justify someone committing another crime in retribution over--they'd each be guilty in that case. Of course this is all just for fun in the first place so the whole thing is moot haha.

As someone who was on jury duty last year (very depressing case), Skizz would make an amazing lawyer. When he said “I’m not gonna take too much of your time” in his closing argument, I think that’s exactly what the prosecuting attorney said. Except then she spoke for like twenty minutes. But she was right.

Joe's case was sound. People with high IQ can sometimes have low EQ. Emotional Quotient.
Because he DocM77 cannot explain the work and Because others feel embarrassed by things they think are putting them down, by not understanding something seemingly simple to intelligent and often they cannot, and so produce defense mechanisms to avoid a sense of embarrassment and usually find social constructs such as grouping and herding to form social connection through their peers to obtain confirmation biases to offset their Emotion sense of inadequate though no one said inadequate. In fact great lengths are used to explain the same things in multiple ways.
While then this grouping of shame tends to provoke. In turn the other leaves them be and outcasts himself as a recluse.
This leads to low Emotional quotient having no ability to converse with others other than objects. Without social connection emotions never develop or are mitigated through conversation and assessment a skill of voicing and hearing and feedback.
DocM clearly described what he was going through and Cleo provoked him by clearly saying she not only didn't understand Emotional trauma but overreacting.
