I've said this before, but i'll say it again here. Toycat helped me overcome my creative perfectionism, teaching me to make things simply for the sake of making them. If it brings me joy - i should make it. The same attitude made it possible for me to be more creative in general. Thanks man, i really appreciate you!

Yes! Seeing all those huge mega builds made me unmotivated to build things in Minecraft or just play the game in general. Seeing videos of a worlds like this that seem very do-able for the average player made me motivated to just build things, not to Look like the best structure, taking many hours to make, but just Little builds that I make for me.

It's weird how different people deal with things. When my mom died, it was almost 6am on a Tuesday and I talked to my sister for a few minutes, walked out of the hospital and drove directly to work. My boss even called later that day to ask me to do something when I felt like coming back to work and was surprised when I told him I had been at work all day (we do property management, so I work at my property, not the main office with him) and I told him that all I wanted to do was work and act like everything was fine. Truthfully for about a month I hated to leave work because when I was there my mind was on other things. I just point this out to say to anyone who reads it, when you are sad, or have something awful happen, do what feels comfortable for YOU. Don't worry about what may work for other people.

Back in March of 2021, I decided to create a long term world after watching you for around 5 years prior. I never thought it would lead anywhere, but it has helped me through so much and its genuinely what keeps me playing minecraft. I’ve almost lost the world due to corruption and glitches, but I also almost lost motivation. Minecraft is not the most important thing in my life, far from it, but it has helps me get through it. I would probably still be depressed and wanting to end myself if it weren’t for my world, and my world exists because of this series. There are lots of things i love, my entire channel is dedicated to one if them, but minecraft will always be up there

So I started a new main world half way through college, and again when I graduated. I think for me that was the way to go.

I love seeing how much this world means to Toycat and the memebrs of the Toycat community. For me, I've only been following the let's play for a couple of years, but it has certainly inspired me to play in my own world (3½ years at this point). I previously (in 2016) had a world which I intended to play long-term, but I lost that world due to Windows needing to be reset. I still have fond memories of that world and still miss it (and miss what I could have with what would be a 7 year old world by now), but that's all in the past.
In any case, the let's play world has a special place in my heart, and I've even built the classic Toycat house in my own world (one of my favourite projects, tbh).
Also, Toycat, I know a lot has happened over the last couple of weeks and I've been wanting to send words of support but haven't really known what to say (plus, there's probably nothing I can say which you haven't already heard). What I do want to say though is thank you for being being you. I'm not a very active chatter/commenter, but I do watch a lot of the streams and videos. I love how real you are with your audience, and when you go off different tangents about all sorts of different things. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, but I just wanted to say I appreciate you, and I'm glad I discovered your channel however long ago it was. Also, I hope you're doing okay (at least, doing the best you can given the circumstances). I'm not good at these sort of things and I'm probably just rambling at this point, but I want you to know that I'll be here (and it's not like I'll be ending my membership any time soon - gotta get that sweet, sweet desert well, then the gilded salmon).

My Survival World just turned 4 years old last month, and although we both had the same goal at the outset (to “conquer” Minecraft) it is amazing to see just how different our version of what that means comes to fruition within Minecraft. I would say that our building styles and play styles are totally different, but I really enjoy your videos as they inspire me not to just copy what you are doing but to continue to do what I like to do and keep at it.
One thing that we do have in common is the desire to connect various parts of our world together with transportation infrastructure. I think that it helps with never getting bored with Minecraft if you always have options for where you want to build and it makes it feel like you have multiple worlds all in one.
Thanks for the video and all the content you share.

Seeing that someone else has also had a mc world help them process stuff like I do is nice, especially when we both went through essentially the same upgrade process (xb360 through to bedrock). Your attitude towards the world too is very inspiring, and is a nice reminder that aiming to be the best all the time doesnt have to be the only way to play.

Pretty relatable, I don't get bored playing the same world for long. I myself am playing on the same world for around 4 years by now since 1.14.4. Initially it was a world which was hosted online from one o' my pals back in 2019 and in there I just had one pretty basic small base on just as small island with a little underground shelter underneath. Later I found a village which I just fully claimed to myself and decided to surround it with smooth quartz. On that note, I just sort of settled on one major colorscheme of... Polish flag? That wasn't exactly intentional, but I rolled with it nonetheless.
And since then I was just slowly but surely improving it as my major base until the world became too large to be hosted. I got the world from the pal who was hosting it and just kept playing, improving the entire thing. The world faced few game updates, that being 1.15, 1.16, 1.18, 1.19 (I haven't transitioned it to 1.20 yet, I have reasons). And even nowadays I don't get bored from it, I just add more things around it and some even far away just because why not.
Btw, congratulations to you, your world isn't just your creation, it's pretty much relic of your personal history.
Also, 24:19 this is so Bedrock as always lol

I started my long-term survival world in 2019 with the release of Village & Pillage because of your encouragement and ideas for inspiration. Still going strong to this day. I had only gotten into Minecraft properly just around the release of the Update Aquatic the year before and would end up cheating for silly reasons like being impatient with the old villager mechanics to get the trades I wanted.
Shortly before 1.14 I started a fresh world in a seed I found by loading up many worlds (It's not the kind of world you'd bother showcasing, but it fit what I wanted my world to be with the biomes and layout of the world itself.) So thank you for that. And I've definitely converted an island in my overworld into a nether island specifically because of this LP, though mine was with the launch of the Nether Update and I wanted to show off all 5 of its biomes and the three structures in one area.

Congrats man, even though I just started playing on my world again, I never deleted it. I stopped playing after I defeated the wither a long time ago, and got back on this past summer to get all the smithing templates. I tried to fight the wither again but it was impossible, so I stopped playing as frequently. I missed the release of a lot of things at first but it was cool to fly with out having to play on creative. It's also way better to only need the template and one netherite ingot to upgrade tools and armor.

i find it so crazy that there are so many minecraft worlds on youtube of people building stuff like the solar system, insane red stone farms, and other crazy intensive projects. with videos that are packed full with insane editing, and claim to do it all on hardcore survival in about a week with no cheats or whatever
yet i don’t remember any of those worlds or videos, i couldn’t tell you anything about those massive projects despite how massive and impressive they are. what i DO remember is toycat and his let’s play world for its charm, its simplicity, and most important, its reality. i hope you never change your style of videos toycat, your let’s play world will always be what i aspire my own minecraft world to be 🤎💚
no disrespect to those creators of course, i just love how it feels like i’m watching a real person play minecraft, with genuine passion and heart

This is super cool. Me and my brother started our Minecraft survival world on PS3 10 years ago! It’s since been ported to PS Vita, PS4 edition, and finally bedrock : )
It’s up 24/7 on realms now, and us and all of our friends have built so many memories and stories on it over the years. It’s carried us through school, university, work, and in some case marriage!
Really cool seeing this video, I have an odd fascination with old Minecraft worlds myself. As part of our own world’s 10th anniversary, I produced an hour long documentary on our history, builds and lore! It was such a joy to document the world’s history. It’s on my TH-cam channel for anyone curious, after seeing ibxtoycat’s : )
On a side note: I’ve actually purchased the world featured in this video on Minecraft marketplace! It’s so cool to explore the history of it first hand. Great video, and thanks for producing Minecraft content all these years!

After watching this video, i remember again how much my own survival world of 4 years has been inspired by Toycat's world. From the way i have seperate sections of my world, to the terraforming, to my showcases of various blocks/mobs/items, to the mega Desert Well, to the a statue of the Toycat Toy Cat itself...
_(although our philosophies about nature are very different still haha. i think life is an anomaly, especially more intelligent life, and we need to cherish what we have here on Earth. i sometimes feel bad about destroying nature even in Minecraft lol)_
Recently i've been thinking of quitting Minecraft, but this video filled me with a desire to always keep going in some form or another, at least with my Survival World.
also, very much appreciate the talk about mortality. Losing a loved one is no joke.
(i haven't lost any close family members myself, but enough of my extended family have died for me to know the severity)

Everything there is to do in Minecraft I plan to do in this world... and the list of ideas and things I want to do grows longer at a faster rate than i can do them, and that is the joy of Minecraft. EDIT: WHY IS THE DIAMOND SWORD MADE OF DIAMOND BUT THE "IRON SWORD" IS WOOL?? ON THE ARMORY??

The thing that I like about having long term survival world is that it is one place where I always have a sense of belonging. I may have been a high schooler when I started my world, but several years passed and I now I'm somewhere else, one constant is my world, which gives me comfort to think that I at least belong there.

My world is from mid to late pocket edition. it’s a perfectly square piece of land in between an ocean and a cut in half mountain. the chunks outside of it are ocean and mountains cut into chunks randomly extending into the sky or sunk into the sea. i love it because it’s a mess of different eras world generation crammed into one. my original house is the only place in thousands of blocks with snow that can also have it raining at the same time.

I have always been really stingy to have long term worlds, I always end up deleting it, even a world I started like an year ago thinking that it would be the one, it ended up not being one, but couple months ago I started one, and I feel like this is the longest I have played on a single player world, I have done so many builds I have never done in single player, in fact I never have even gotten beyond a starter house, rn I am about 700 in game days in the world and I don't feel like stopping anytime soon, usually deaths in the nether are what leaves me off a world, but this time I did not give up, and all this wanting to have a long term world is because of your world inspire me to do so
