    I think you got the Deep Perineal Pouch incorrectly labelled. Isn't the superior border of the DPP the superior urogenital fascia? and the perineal membrane being the DPP's inferior border. Basically making the DPP a virtual space almost exactly with the dimensions of the urogenital diaphragm. please explain. Much appreciated video nonetheless.

    wrong information ,need to be corrected the deep perineal pouch is incorrect.

  • @mariamansari7747
    @mariamansari7747 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That is not the deep perineal pouch.
    The deep perineal pouch lies between the superior and inferior fascia of the
    urogenital diaphragm.

  • @fleXx187

    really good video. thank you for sharing. but i think u got the DPP wrong. It's bordered superiorly by the superior fascia of the urogenital diaphragm, not the levator ani muscle, thereby creating more of a VIRTUAL space, as it's filled with deep transverse perineal muscle, the urethra with it's external sphincter, the vagina in females and the cowper's glands in males. ain't it???
    not trying to be smart, just a student trying to get his facts straight ;)
    best regards

    I'm afraid that the information given in this video is incorrect and to those who are trying to learn about the perineum and the pouches this video will be very confusing. The deep perineal pouch is a potential space between the two fascia layers, superior & inferior, of the urogenital diaphragm. I've also noticed some other incorrect information in some other videos of the same channel. These video as shown up here represents Leeds university, and I'd like whoever is presenting here to revise the video content very carefully before uploading.
