Thank you Dr Pickering. As I prepare for my fellowship exams in 2 weeks time, am I glad a friend of mine referred me to your videos. They are G.O.L.D. Keep up the awesome work.
You probably dont give a shit but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Finley Oakley I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
very good lectures..my suggestion by adding clinical significance each structure and surgical aspect just a point or two will really help to stick in the mind..will show why it is important..just for an eye for excellence..thanking you for your time..love..god bless ..india med std..
I think you got the Deep Perineal Pouch incorrectly labelled. Isn't the superior border of the DPP the superior urogenital fascia? and the perineal membrane being the DPP's inferior border. Basically making the DPP a virtual space almost exactly with the dimensions of the urogenital diaphragm. please explain. Much appreciated video nonetheless.
really good video. thank you for sharing. but i think u got the DPP wrong. It's bordered superiorly by the superior fascia of the urogenital diaphragm, not the levator ani muscle, thereby creating more of a VIRTUAL space, as it's filled with deep transverse perineal muscle, the urethra with it's external sphincter, the vagina in females and the cowper's glands in males. ain't it??? not trying to be smart, just a student trying to get his facts straight ;) best regards
I'm afraid that the information given in this video is incorrect and to those who are trying to learn about the perineum and the pouches this video will be very confusing. The deep perineal pouch is a potential space between the two fascia layers, superior & inferior, of the urogenital diaphragm. I've also noticed some other incorrect information in some other videos of the same channel. These video as shown up here represents Leeds university, and I'd like whoever is presenting here to revise the video content very carefully before uploading.
This is an example of brilliant teaching. Every teacher should learn from this. Thank you for giving excellent understanding next to big books!

Thanks for your effort. It really helped me a lot.
Once again, thank you!
Levator ani is consist of 3 muscles
1 puborectalis
2 pubococcygeus
3 iliococcygeus (not ischiococcygeous )
Thank me later
ischiococcygeus , iliococcygeus and pubococcygeus (which gives 4 different attachements) *
thank you!!!

is the perineal membrane continuous with the transversalis fascia (of abdomen)?
You are great! much appreciated!
totally wrong its sacrospinous ligament not sacro tuberous which has attachment on ischial spine
that's not even ischial spine in there, that's the ischial tuberosity even it looks like ischial spine, and he is correct
sir please upload videos on spinal cord tracts.student need it more than any other videos.
Very helpful 🤩
JazakAllah. Thanks yiu sir
wrong information ,need to be corrected the deep perineal pouch is incorrect.
That is not the deep perineal pouch.
The deep perineal pouch lies between the superior and inferior fascia of the
urogenital diaphragm.
