Someone played a reading comprehension deck against me in 30 seconds where you had to read the card and figure out what masterduel was prompting you to do as fast as possible or die. Stuff like the card that forces your opponent to name a suship. Felt like an absolute champion for smashing it out of the park.
@chifuee226 OK, but this is a different kind of forcing them to read. Like losing because you didn't read *fast enough* rather than just not understanding what a deck does.
I love how Joseph gets a time out and when asked why he didnt stop, he says he wants to combo. In the one format where you literally should not be comboing unless its like a 2 second Swordsoul combo or some shit.
I went against a sword soul player that tried to accomplish 3 synchros in a turn, it's like they wanted to combo, it's like their hand allowed them to do it and they wanted to do it, they timed out
@@GuilhermeDiGiorgi Hey, if it was any other format, I'd be interested because I feel like I see the same endboards all the time with that archetype due to its low-to-the-ground playstyle. But also Baronne + Chixao or Evil Longuan is enough to be nightmarish in this format when you only can do so much.
7:40 - Someone played almost this *EXACT* deck against me less than half an hour before the event ended. They activated Catch-of-the-Day *FIVE TIMES* but not only couldn't get me to time out, they got so distraught at their chances that when they activated it a 4rth time they just gave up and _THEY_ timed out. The only difference between their deck and this was there was no Two-For-One-Team or Transmission Gear in the main deck. They had a playset of Vaalmonica Scelta and Summoning Curse. The Extra was actually a bit more practical. Instead of White Aura Bihamut, Red-Eyes Slash, CXyz N.As.Ch. Knight or the 2nd and 3rd S:P. They had Thunder Dragon Colossus, Chaos Angel, Zeus + TY-PHON, Knightmare Phoenix and Cerberus in the Extra.
@@Jacktherippa84 well yeah but i wanted to meme it and played freaking tearlaments trying to make as much as i could in 30 seconds AND winning lmfao stupidest experience ive had in yugioh so far
I had a suship player try that on me, I quickly typed suship and just selected a random one that popped on my screen. Later they tried to actually combo with suships, but timed out
For this event, I mostly played Invoked Windwitch. Usually ends on souped up Crystal Wing with Raidjin and Wind Pegasus @Ignister in the grave, but sometimes I've also got Kyubi - Shenshen on the field. It isn't the strongest board by modern standards, but when you've only got 30 seconds to beat it, outing Raidjin and specially protected synchro monster every turn can be very difficult. It's also pretty easy to play if you know what you're doing. I also used a bit of Evil Eye in this one. The decision trees are difficult if you're new to Evil Eye, but it can be played pretty darn fast if you know what you're doing. Also, Evil Eye muscles through most hand-traps and is immune to the "C", so it makes for a great choice. I mostly played my Windwitch deck on this one, though, since I rarely get to play it in events.
2 of my 3 wins on this event were from people over-extending and thus causing me to get a timer-based win. I also made a very simple deck for this: Normal Summon high ATK or Set high DEF Level 4 monsters, Xyz Summon when possible, maybe bring out First of the Dragons if I happen to draw Polymerization.
I had fun with this event I just went old school and played a little Pac-Man had a good old time The crazy thing is I haven't lost with it yet with the eight games I played with it so far and the other Dack is flip monsters That's even more hilarious when you went with it that's on a five game winning streak this event is so fun I hope they do it again
@@ilgattoyuumi being a player of something just means that youre, well, playing it. For the duration of the duel, MBT was playing runick and was the runick "played" during that situation. Once he switched to another deck, he stops being a runick player and is now playing a different deck. I think youre mixing up the term "player" with "main"
I don’t know how I was able to play Tearlaments for a good chunk of games just for dailies, but I did. Otherwise, I was mainly winning with Voiceless Voice. That was one I was confident that I can set up under 30 seconds.
I had so much fun in this event just jamming Tenpai and going paidra into chundra into kuibelt effect pass, because didn't even have enough time to conduct battle phase
I pretty much played True Draco and despite playing the floodgate variant for the first time, i never had to flip up a floodgate to win. Master Peace is just really good at being annoying and acting like a DPE and popping a free card per turn.
I was thinking about which deck to build prior to this event, and decided to also go with choice paralysis turbo again. But then I remembered the suship card. And I remembered Dogmatika Alba Zoa. So I played a Suship Dogmatika deck, which starts with searching Catch of the Day, then summoning Alba Zoa, and I had a few other traps so I could time them out on their turn/my next turn if I didn't get the play with the first hand. I got lucky a few times and summoned Gunkan Suship Shirao xyz, drew catch of the day, searched catch of the day, so I had 2 for free. Still had to go to Alba Zoa for a few of the time outs, though. I won a lot of matches in a row at the start, then got a bit more of a mixed win-rate, but considering the Dogmatika half locks out the suship half, it worked really well. Also helps that I have practice with those decks. Really helps that I could survive/win a few games with half boards, because that's just what people did.
I had so many plans of playing IKEA Labrynth.. and a friend of mine showed himself winning thrice in a row with True Draco, a deck I truly don't have confidence of topping but I still own.. and yeah, I truly don't have confidence of topping but I still won. 1st one is "It's Pizza Time!" from Pizza Tower 2nd one is "Hurry Up!" from Wario Land 4 3rd is "Collapsing Time Rift" from A Hat in Time bonus: 4th one is "The Death that I Deservioli" from Pizza Tower
No idea how I reached 3 wins in this event only using my generic exosister deck, mostly hoped the opponent activated their effects so I could use their turn to xyz and interrupt ONCE.
Lmao I was playing runic/kash handtrap pile on 30s and someone attempted to catch of the day me but alas I just called shari and proceeded to unicorn rip and ghost girling them.
