I mean...Josh has some gordon-eurisms as it is. The way he gets all excited and hops around. But I didn't notice that until the "let the knife do the work" line came out. Lol
It's been years since I worked in a professional food setting and I absolutely say "behind" "corner" (and "knife" and "hot") still if I'm in the kitchen with anyone. It legitimately has helped avoid catastrophe for extended family holidays. Might seem silly but it's good practice in general to be aware of your surroundings. I don't yell loud like I did when I was working though. If you scare TF out of someone not expecting to hear "KNIFE!" behind their back while they're at the stove with a hot pan in hand you can more harm than good.
lol i do this too after first working in fast food and then taking the classic route to military after. Communication is massive and there is a reason why people say "corner" or "on your left" etc.

I’ve been working in a kitchen helping with food prep for the last 4 years, and it’s made me appreciate safety words in the kitchen so much, I use them at home now too! But the one bad habit I’ve gotten into, is subconsciously saying behind when I’m walking behind people places... and I’ve maybe accidentally said it to a few people while walking behind people on sidewalks and stuff and they take it as me being rude or saying their slow when it’s just force of habit!😅😂😳 I always feel so bad lol
I love how you guys in the cooking community collab with each other and learn from each other. This is so nice to finally see a genuine non toxic collabs and friendly cooperating ❤ we need a lot more of it, also I think Nigel with uncle Roger character made it even more visible and fun. You can tell Josh is in his element, he's real serious, the jokes and playing around don't seem to land as if he was at home 😅. I can only imagine how stressful it is to be a chef. I love it! Great video!
