Using a Manual Number Plate Press Tutorial How to Make Pressed Number Plates by PLATE FACTORY

Pressed Metal Number Plates (not 3d Gel or 4d Number Plates) can be made by using two types of machine:
1) Manual Press using double layered plates (as in this video) - This machine has no running costs other than the plates themselves. This machine is not designed to be used with cheaper lower quality material - it must use material with a thickness of at least 1.30mm.
2) Electric Press with Hot Stamping - These types of machines are around ten times larger than the one in this video, and a substantially more expensive. Initially, the machine presses the digits on to a blank white or yellow plate, and then the ink for the digits is applied separately, using a second machine. As the machines are electric and have many moving parts, the set-up, maintenance and ink costs mean that the overall costs may be substantially higher than the manual press in the video.
