    Does the area where you keep your unfinished projects have a name?? About how many unfinished projects do you have?

      I play Fallout 76 and Fortnite daily! I have been a 76er since beta. I have played Fallout 4 on PC for a ridiculous amount of months of in game time but recently started it over on console with the release of the series. I was alpha tester for the new Nightingale game, but have gotten into it much since the release. My love of video games is what brought me to Circuit City when I became an Operations Manager for the company, and what my hubs and I really connected through when we started dating.

    Hi Kim, love the shawl and cute socks. It is amazing how a plastic bottle can be used in recycling to make beautiful bags. The booties and deer are gorgeous ❤❤❤

    Hi Kim! I have about 8 wips, (2 of them UFO's). I .have a name for them, I just pile the bags up in the corner next to my chair. I think Area 51 is a great name for them! I love it! One thing I might make someday is a can or bottle cozy.

      😆 I go through shifts too. Honestly I just feel like I can’t keep up with everything right now. This week is going to really be a slow yarn week because of appointments and the fact we are switching the oldest room to another room and repainting… it’s going to be a hot mess!!

    I have children who are ADHD and I have worked as an educator with both ADHD children and adults so don’t anyone start getting down on me, please. However… what is procrastinating on a project is normal? What if this is nature’s way of giving us time to think and rethink our projects and goals? In your last live you discussed having to frog a project. I have lost count this year alone of the times I have done that and most were things I jumped into in a hurry. As I frog the work, I end up laughing because I croak like a frog every five rounds around whatever I am winding the yarn around. I started doing that about ten years ago to entertain the dog while he watch me. Now I do it for fun to remind myself I am not a failure as long as I am still trying.
    Sometimes we get down on ourselves and I think we need to frog that habit! The Sunnis shining (and if it not at your house then nature is watering the flowers! Fiber artistry will never be an exact science but that just proves someone cared enough to make it by hand.
    Have a great imperfect day!

      I love your insight. I do have a hard time of letting go of time but I also have a hard time of focusing on one thing. It is really really hard for me. So when I know I have something to do that has to hold my attention for a x amount of time, the word daunting sums it up perfectly. I don’t really mind frogging a project and redoing it. It allows me to learn from my error and makes me a stronger maker and helps me understand the sequence of a stitch.
      I have recently discovered 8D music though, and let me just say that is a game changer for me! Someone described it as a massage for your brain, and I whole heartedly agree. I listened to various 8D songs yesterday while doing laundry and it felt like it was done in no time.

      @n2creativity-ccladee640 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@yarning4asmile Scientifically 8D music is an elevated surround system - a style of music editing. There is also 12 D. It basically gives your mind something else to think about while you do your task. As a teacher I often played music while students studied. ADHD are not people who are unable to focus as current trends imply but rather people whose mind moves quickly. They learn quickly and are not learning disabled! If a task does not interest your mind, it moves in to something else. That is why being a first responder is a good career for ADHD people - they have to arrive on scene, assess the situation, and ensure the safety of all, responding as best fits the immediate need. And they have to do that in mere seconds. Riding a stationary bike while crocheting helps alleviate the struggle to sit still and. Do her. Yarn crawls are also good for thought and very popular in large cities. You are clearly able to focus and get the job done. Your beautiful craft shed is proof!😊

    • @yarning4asmile

      My mind never slows. I am constantly trying to manage one thing while processing and thinking of the other 20 things, figuring out the order they need to be done, and everything in between. The 8D music thing really blew my mind. I could picture the sound bouncing from one ear to another, almost in a meditative state. I think that is also why I enjoy movies with subtitles why I knit. Reading the words, listening to the words, and working on something all at once allows me to do multiple things at once. I don’t see that as a disability at all, but being able to focus on several things at once, gives a sense of order to my mind and relaxes me… if that makes sense. 🤷🏻‍♀️
