I disagree. It wasn't ahead of its time it was exactly of its time, it made a big splash at the time and we're still talking about it, ergo, of its time
What a WILD audiance......... Thrilled to be seeing them..... Soooooooooooo E X C I T E D. I'm 75 and still play them at FULL VOLUME & GO WILD IN THE LIVING ROOM.
At 71 years ago with chelsea I think Denmark at my 50 s I missed her concert up the road,my last chance to see someone the main media slaughtered at 15 years old ,had more talent than anyone I knew
She was discovered working in a massage Parlour, not a Laundromat. Annabella admitted this herself during a Tiswas interview.. Sally James had to quickly change the subject with a nudge nudge.
Hi. Can't thank you enough for posting so many great clips from the past. Living in Canada, I never got to enjoy the UK broadcasts. The only connection I had were the music rags and the big record shop that advertised in them, the name which escapes me at the moment. I would buy all the Ants releases I could and then wait 3 months until they arrived. Oh to be a teen again. :) Wish I could remember the shop's name. Their catalogues were always hand written. I would send questions with my orders and they'd always answer.
i saw the police that tour.... didn't know who the support act was.....partied in the parking lot till the police came on....next day i found out we missed bow wow wow.... I'm still pissed 😡
I was a kid when Bow Wow Wow was ruling the airwaves. Looking back on Annabella between the ages of 14-16 which was at the height of Bow Wow Wow’s popularity, I’m disturbed at how sexualized she was. She was beautiful, talented, and definitely exploited.
Nothing to be disturbed about. She was having fun and being real. I was born the same year she was and remember being that age and others I knew the same age at the time. Talented, full of energy being real and having fun. The shame is that the other band members kicked her out when she was 17 in late 1983 and the whole thing fell apart then. They had magic together. They all had their own particular talents that they added to the band. I wish they stayed together.
No. An associate of Malcolm McLaren saw her in a dry cleaners singing to a Stevie Wonder song called "I Wish" on the radio when she was 13 in the first half of 1980.
She was so ahead of her time. She would be a mega star if she came out today
Amazing what was coming out of England in the early 80's...so faaarrr ahead of its time. Still sounds amazing today.

I will forever love her and every note they all played
She was why I got a Mohawk my senior year. I loved her so much!
Sadly today it would be banned as cultural appropriation.
When told you are doing a tour with The Police she says I Don’t Like Them. LOL she has Balls!
what a great single from an equally great album
Cool version of the song and great footage
the man in the audince at 1.25 looks very happy to be there
Thank you for posting this, what a great find!
US band "no doubt" comes to mind as their copycats // awesome story, awesome band !!!!!
She's pretty bad ass. All thus wild this and wild that. Damn

She introduced saying she was 17 when she was discovered then in the next breath says shes still 16. She's beautiful though that is for sure ❤
Noticed that myself.

Serves you right..... LOL.
I saw the Police on that same tour. The Go Gos opened when I saw them and they were good. But I would have rather seen Bow Wow Wow.
I'd REALLY like to find this full performance.
I agree!!!!!!!!! Its a shame I can't find this whole performance unedited.
You're doing your next tour with the Police how do you feel about that?
It's a bit of a shame really.
LOL. Love it.
Young didn't have a clue what was even happening. Shame
Haha!
Creative pop

@@markgonzales6713 She left to become an air hostess.

@@markgonzales6713 I'm quoting from the video, it says she was discovered at 17 and is currently 16. That's what we call "funny" Captain Factcheck
Lol, no one knew her real age, it was a not very well kept secret that caused a scandal and sales went up, classic McLaren
She joined band at 13 (she was born in 1966).

My general attitude towards this current era: the chap in front @1:26.
the audience is over 50 and wondering what the hell that was ?
Ha! That old colonial codger in the front row is wondering what the hell has happened to Britannia! The cost of colonialism!
❤❤❤❤
Cute Burmese English girl. Reminds me of so many Asian girls I grew up with.
I want to go hunting and fishing! Good idea! Let’s all return to Nature and leave the city behind.
Get off the Grid. She was ahead of her time!
I don’t think the nude thing is a big deal it’s because she was a minor
I can't help but feel this song would be perfect for a heavy metal cover. Especially the way such a style would explode the chorus.
That would ruin it.
@@talisikid1618agreed. The balance of pop and... hysteria makes this song.
It would take a very special artist to pull off a cover of this unique track
🇬🇧 💷 🐦 (minus) 🐜 😊 🎼 🎸 🥁
She seems like she might have been wound a little tight. Looks like she needs tor relax some.
The sound is super harsh. Where's the bass? Much as I want to, I can't listen to this :-(
Poor thing, we listened to it on Walkmans .
opinionated but wrong about everything.
