Once again, another banger of a video. I wish I had the right mentor when I first started photography. What I understood later on was you could have a few mentors as everyone isn't perfect & will not be able to provide or fully understand your questions in how it relates to you. For example, one of my new mentors gives me homework or special assignments in terms or portraits and another has me focus on the business side of photography.
Great point Carl. Mentors are great, and can get you on the right track quick...plus they hold you accountable👍 Even experienced photographers have mentors. Working with someone who's where you want to be is one of the best decisions you can make for your business✊
This guy says he’s an introvert but continues to put out heater after heater videos 🔥🔥🔥. Keep grinding because there’s people like me who have gained a boat load of knowledge from you.
Haha, well I guess I'm glad you can't tell lol. I still can't believe I make videos🤣 Honestly, it helps me a lot with my shyness & communication. I appreciate the constant support. It's always good to see you in comment section saying that you got some value from my videos🙏😁
My mom had gotten me a FujiFilm zoom camera back in 2013 for my Photography class (but it was the wrong one and that was entirely my fault because the class I took was B&W film photography and not digital), and I used that as my learning camera since then. Up until the iPhone XR came out, I started using that as my go to camera, I was; and still am, really into street photography, taking photos of buildings and statues. Then when I got really serious into photography as a business, my wife gotten me a Canon 4000D recently, and now I’m just trying to get my foot in the door and start my business. It’s tough, but I know I have what it takes.
A lot of food points When I started this trek in the 90’s and before TH-cam. I was fortunate to have a great mentor, a master photographer name Donald Jack. I also joined my local PPA and the National PPA. Even today over 20 plus years later I still belong to both groups. Education is paramount, in this digital age everyone had a digital camera and in some cases some of them are as good as what we have. What make is professionals is how we create. When I got to flagstaff there were a few studios here. Today there are three store fronts and I am one of them. Learn how to price and yeah good people skills are a must. In my market High School seniors you have to be on your game or you will get eaten a live. When you are green you grow Stay hungry. Good luck
Man I have watched several of your videos and was about to comment you should tell people to work on their skills instead of latest and greatest gear and you came through and brought it up. 👍I have seen many photographers spend all their resources buying gear and refusing to believe their skills need work. Well done.
Great content, i’d like you to make a video about what is the best gear to buy as a beginner photographer for instance, lenses , strobe or speedlites etc. Thank you
What up bro! I'm trying brother. Love what you're doing with your videography..you're a beast. I'm not surprised though...I remember finding your channel & I was like man this guy is talented!
@@AdrianLardPhoto Thanks brotha, really appreciate it. I've seen alot of us from the TH-cam game branch out into photography and videography, its pretty inspiring.
At timestamp 5:02 It's called Gear Porn! Great video, I just discovered your channel and now subscribed. I've been in the industry since the film days and the Minolta SRT 102 was all the craze!
