These feel so professionally made, surprised you've not got more recognition yet!

I don’t think the algorithm knows what to do with these videos 😅 I’ll just have to keep making them and see what happens. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

Where are you all writing your music these days? Bedroom? Rehearsal studio? Actual studio? Somewhere else?

Great video! I resonate with all the topics you cover 😁 Nowadays I mostly write at home with my electric guitar straight into an interface on my notebook. But several years ago I had many ideas just from noodling on my acoustic guitar on the couch. The most fun I had lately, was while exploring new sound libraries with a digital piano connected to Kontakt player. It reminds me of film music, but is really cool for rock/metal stuff. Right now I modify a corner in the living room just for music stuff, because my wife needs my other small office room for her work 😊 The plan is to have a small table for a notebook, monitor, interface, digital piano beside me and all my guitars on the wall to have a creative space. Also making a writing template in Logic or Reaper saves me a lot of time. I remember when I was writing in rehearsal spaces with at least a drummer, that was really exciting, because decisions were made fast and songs came to life quickly. Therefore I try to write using MIDI groove packs from real drummers. It is really inspiring and exciting to write like that. I wish you a lot of fun on your journey! Looking forward to your album, because I think it will turn out great 😎🎸

Hey thanks for watching! I used to have a modest setup in the living room but once my son was born that kinda went out the window 😅 writing stuff on the couch watching tv and letting those natural ideas just pop up is always the best, just much harder for me to do when I’m not the only one home. I love playing with a good drummer, not just the instant feedback you get when you realize a part is going to work or not but also the excitement you share when you both know something amazing is happening. Happy writing friend, appreciation you taking the time to comment!

It’s awesome to have a “why” video instead of the how. Can’t wait for more.

Thanks Bill, I’m hoping to get back on these in the near future!
