I don’t need this and don’t want it. I find it creepy that there are cameras seeing and hearing you at every moment. If people want this inside their homes fine but, in a public space I find it to be a invasion of privacy.

@@umar7182 I don't mind If someone wants to put a surveillance system in their homes or business's . The difference between the city and one person is personal property is huge. I'll put it like this One person is like a mom and pop shop (small scale not access to too much Information) while the city is a corporation ( big scale and can technically tap your history of everything you do in the outdoors) you may not know what information the city is getting from you along with what the city is doing with that information. Thomas Jefferson said " Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness " but how can One say " I have Liberty" when there is surveillance every step of the way.

If that is the way your using the word then I can honestly say, thinking this way will distort your reality along with others that think this way & alter the world in a less functioning society if these smart cities to become worldwide. Yes it's true people's believes may be similar so they have a grasp of what is good and bad but, there is a difference between good or bad and the Just and the unjust. In shorten terms if there is Unjust in the world there can only be two people and no it's not good or bad, is those who don't take action and those who will. It's not that It will limit me physically, is that the implementation of the system is flawed. Innovation is intended to increase ease, we as the people that live in this reality have a responsibility to acknowledge that there are things that need fixing and things that don't. The question to be answered is where is the line that we don't cross and cannot be answered by I or you but by We.

A smart city is also a city that does not tolerate those who are not intelligent enough to be non-violent. It is, therefore, a city that is also very focused on collecting video evidence in order to be able to place a physical barrier (prison walls) between those who are inclined to brutalise others (many 'police officers' and others) and those who are non-violent.

I can tell you some it could also decrease crime rate. Since people know they'll be easily tracked they won't commit as many crimes as they do now, if there are not a lot of crimes, less police is used and that money can go to other plans. If there are no crimes, people feel safe which makes them happier . Safe cities usually attract people=job demand. Cities labeled as smart cities also bring more workforce and jobs....
Some cons: police officers losing jobs, Radiation concern, maintenance cost...

You could live there but you will not be in charge of your money. Your access to your money will depend on your "good citizen report"
Don't forget you will also be restricted to your zone.
      Do your research fine citizen

In time these smart cities will be no different than when the Jews were forced to live in German-controlled cities. Their entire lives were controlled. This is what your future children have to look forward too.

How about build a “smart city” in Queens New York? We need some safety n other new items that we never seen it before, like San Diego places! Our places in Queens, New York, we r is still using the oldest items from the 2000 n 2005 to 2018; the same old items n never get new changes, like… “oldest city”, not “Smart city”.
Almost like San Diego has “smart city” better then other places. “Not fair”🙇🏻‍♀️. I tried my best to make sense of my sentences.

Glad they didn't show all the potholes and homeless, or mention the loss of the Chargers or how they still can't get the Convention Center expanded (which could likely lead to the loss of Comic Con) because that would've added a whole new spin to this story.
