The best way to experience snow! Watching someone else trudge through it. I have watched a number of British photographers snow photography videos as I am sure you have seen. They complain, oh this is so hard, the sky is to blue, not enough show, I can’t find a composition, this light is to bright, or it’s too overcast……blah blah blah. Darrell just goes out in his own neighborhood and makes the best of it with great photographs. Keep up the great work.
Love the images towards the end with the lovely trees. So beautiful. Really nice to see the snow - all we have been getting in my part of the south coast has been rain, rain, gales and more rain for weeks now. I can't wait for some sunny days, even if frosty and cold, to get out with my camera!
@@DarrellOakdenPhotography we get a little bit up on the mountain behind Hobart, some highland parts in Tasmania and parts of the mainland. But nothing like you guys have in the UK. We've had some fall in our backyard - but it doesn't settle. There's enough in some parts of Australia to create good ski fields.

Hi Darrell Some lovely photographs. We did think some of the photos were minamalistic shots. The snow really makes them. It looked quite precarious at times in the wood you need to be careful when you are by yourself. Best wishes for the New Year ! Many Thanks Jon and Sandra

Dear Darrel, I really enjoyed your video and your photographs, especially the square ones, because that's my favourite format, to the point that on my D850 I've dedicated a photo bank to the B&W square format. I know that I could crop it in post, but I think that framing the scene with the desired format and colours helps concentrating on the final wanted result. Unfortunately, in North Italy where I live, there is no snow now, unless I go walking to the near Alps where there is plenty snow. Happy New Year Darrel!

I do sometimes change my format in camera to help visualise the framing.
