I can't take off my eyes from Kim Seon Ho. Why he is so handsome day by day???? Can anyone tell me?! He is 35 y.o but it's so unbelievable that his face looks like 25 y.o. sometimes he looks more young than dindin as fake maknae.
When seonho just eat the balsam pear raw shows how obedient he is like he didn't even complain or whatsoever and just eat what food is presented on the table when staffs just want to show them what it looks like before it's cooked lol 😂😂😂😂

In the Philippines, we call the balsam pear “ampalaya”. We stir fry it with egg to remove the bitterness. Its one of my favorite dish 😍
They don't know how to eat it this way😅
Carla Marie, we have different variety which are not so bitter. But these balsam pears they have are very bitter, trust me. My husband eats them but I can't. It is the same Karela variety from India.
In indonesia we call balsam pear Pare
Usually we soak it in water to get off the bitterness before cooking it.
And is widely known (in the Philippines) for its english name "Bitter Gourd".
In urban places, it's usually cooked with egg but in rural areas, specially where it's grown, people prefer to eat it raw (mixed with vinegar, salt, and chopped tomatoes and onions).

Senoho is just so cute..... felt so sorry for him when he tastes bitter gourd... in India we call it karela and first it's bitterness is removed then we cook it as sabzi and it's really very healthy ..... Love watching senoho as he is just so cute......

in Malaysia, we call balsam pear as 'peria katak'. Usually we cook it with chilli and anchovies or slice it very thin and deep it in egg n flour to make it like chip n crispy. 🌼

Yeoju is Ampalaya here in the Philippines. We basically stir-fried it then add a bitten egg. But it can also be prepared raw like a salad. You have to thinly sliced it then add chopped tomatoes and onions then squish a few calamansi and add some salt and pepper. Others would put vinegar instead of calamansi. But I prefer the former. It might be bitter but it's healthy and you'll get used to it in the long time. 😁😊
Slice balsam pear thinly, dip in tempura batter and deep fried. It taste really good. And old people like to eat it raw with rice.

Oh, my goodness! I just cooked bittermelon / ampalaya (in the Philippines) for my daughter as she loves that veggie. Yes, from the name itself, bittermelon. It really is bitter and I never dared to eat such veggie even thought I cook that veggie. 😂

In India we call that bitter gourd and everyone eat in different style but I'm from Northeast India and we slice them thinly, add some salt to taste and deep fry until it turns brown and eat it with rice. It's 😋
They don't know bitter gourd??? Here in the Philippines, it's common, we even add eggs and stuff. We soak it in water and salt tp get rid of the bitter taste.

This balsam pear, we eat it by deep frying. It's one of our daily/basic side dishes. We call it "Tita kerela" in our native language, Assamese. Tita mean 'bitter'.

what we normally do after you slice it you have to put in the water with salt then slightly squeze it to remove bitterness. I don't know if the bitterness level is the same though
