Like in any bid/deal, it really all depends on negotiation and competitions among the contractors/engineers in the marketplace. When we will be building our new house, we're really considering a swimming pool for my kids. They're so excited about it!

To be honest as a Swimming pool contractor/supplier ang hirap i-explain sa clients bakit mahal ang pagpapagawa ng swimming pool kaya some of them sa kakilala nalang nagpapagawa, ang ending mas malaking problema/gastos after magawa ang pool. Kaya napaka helpful nitong video na to for them to understand our side as a swimming pool contractor and supplier.

Would you know anyone who can build a natural swimming pond there in the Philippines?
Swimming pool is okay but swimming in chemicals everyday may not be the safest way to go.
Also, an organic swimming pond will be a lot less expensive to maintain as you will not to
purchase chlorine, filters and other materials to keep swimming pool water sparkling clean.

I was wondering if you would recommend an elevated/above-ground pool over an excavated pool, which you discussed here. Ano kayang pros and cons ng elevated/above-ground pool compared to the excavated pool? Mas mataas ba construction cost nito?
Dahil flood-prone sa Pilipinas, parang mas practical and appealing yung elevated pool.

I was also thinking about this idea, instead of digging,which looks and sounds complicated and costly, just construct the pool above the ground. I hope Engr. can answer this question.

Why? since walang soil support sa sides ng elevated wall, kailangan mas mataba ang wall at mas maraming bakal kasi ang tubig may force yan na itutulak ang mga sidewalls ng pool. If walang lupa na mag estabilize ng positive force na tinatawag, then need mo mas malaking walls. Okay na?

Thanks for the info. The model is equivalent to the price of a decent brand new car. If one does not swim everyday it's a luxury.

Very informative! If it matters, most inground pools in the USA are built with either shotcrete or gunite. Some 8 yrs ago, it cost us $84k to build a 20k gallons freeform 16' x 32', 7' deep and 3.5' shallow end with tanning ledge and attached raised spa with spillover. I opted for the smooth plaster finish, tiles and Quartzite coping. The equipment is as follows, Hayward 1 hp filter pump, 2 hp Hayward Spa jets pump, Hayward Natural Gas heater, Hayward 420 sq/ft Cartridge filter, and inline chlorinator. I have no love for automation and have no desire to get one in the future either. Ako lang po ang nag-maintain ng water chemistry and of course, crystal clear year round. Otherwise, a contractor would normally charge $120/month for once a week visitation and 10 mins session.
Btw, it is now illegal in the US to install a single speed pump on pools. For that matter, I replaced the filter pump with a Hayward 1.85thp Variable Speed pump for $800 and added a Hayward Salt Water Chlorine Generator (swcg) rated at 40k gal for $950. So yeah I converted our pool to a salt water pool for ease of maintenance.

Hello. Una sa lahat ang matitipid mo nyan ay sa excavation pero gagamit kana man ng porma sa external side kaya kalalabasan nyan same ng price. Ang advantage lang kung naka angat ang pool mo kung mataas ang water level ng lupa same sa concern mo sa back flow ng tubig galing sa drainage.

1. Sa tingin nyo po mas makakamura po kaya ako sa total cost if above the ground swimming pool ang ipapagawa ko since hindi ko na ipapahukay yung buong depth ng pool?
2. More or less same lang po kaya sa computation nyo ang magiging total cost ng isang 4m x 5m na above ground swimming pool?
