@@ectoproductions thanks now I can't unsee the poop nugget... 16:24 onwards for those of you interested... nearly got Marques with the swinging tail poop
I’ve really loved the short intros in the MKBHD channels, specifically just the logo intros so I made a shorter one for my channel. Thanks for the inspiration guys!!
Great vid! Just with react content like this, when you guys are explicitly talking about some details of the shots, it'd be great if you could just show these parts at the same time. E.g. 14:10, they're pointing at the screen but we can't see what they're pointing to. Or at 6:15, when you talk about the record player scooting back into shot. Or 9:55, when you talk about the 100% brightness display looking like 5%.
Honestly, MKBHD videos inspired the logo intro to my recent videos. For the longest time, I disliked having an intro because it was distracting. Then I saw MKBHD intros and realized they can just be a couple seconds long and be so impactful. So I made one, and I love it. (I only used a free version of Canva for mine though ✌😅)
This is great stuff. I love seeing the positive encouragement of other creators, and your genuine curiosity as to how others pulled off their shots. This is why I love the maker and creator space.
I love how they could related to the techniques used. How they guessed what was done, and even though they were wrong, it shows that they wouldn't let the lack of big budget equipment stop them from trying to get that perfect shot
This was incredible! I have no experience with filming or editing so I didn’t think much of intros. I learnt a ton in this video and am going to appreciate them way more from now on. Great to see you inspired so many people to try to remake these!
19:38 They say adversity and hardship brings out the best in us. These fans are living proof of that. Marques has a large team; they use professional cameras and equipment, they have literal expensive robots for these shots, lots of graphic designers and editors to make them look good , specialised rigs and props for certain shots/angles etc. Here we see random people doing everything alone, without any fancy equipment, just a little knowledge and tons of creativity.
I love to see a back and forth to this .. like fan issued challenges to The Studio to create their own fresh take/and or replicate. I think this can create continual interesting interactions.
This is honestly inspirational, it’s amazing to see how much people can make without thousands of dollars of equipment, and i’ll definitely try making some video content from today!
This video just shows how much talent is out in the world trying to make a living. It helps me see how mediocre I am and how much more I have to work, think out of box and be more creative. Awesome for all these people. Congrats on the results and thanks for being the engine to become better at what I would love to do.
You can tell how good the fans did as they don't have the mkbhd equipment and different people helping out. That being said, we really take for granted an Mkbhd intro. Well done to everyone !!!
You should hold a competition for this kind of thing divided into classes based on equipment budget. There could be different divisions based on the price or kind of the equipment. I would be really interested to see what people could do in the smart phone divisions.
I think Jack Gordon was purposely not hiding things so you can see how he does it, like you would in a parody to call something out, because I noticed he did that in the other clip as well.
Markus was like I'm spending a ton of money on rigs, but these guys are just doing it without anything... literally just camera and slider....good work Yash Gupta
I am amazed after seeing this video, you're such a big TH-camr and had had great team of designers, animators but still you are learning and reviewing others tech videos. Love from india❤❤❤
have to say, I discover so much cool music from many of your videos...same with today's...Alltta....been listening to all of their stuff on Spotify all day...and love it ,...so thanks
6:10 Despite the record player scooting back into frame, the music beats match up for when it comes back into the frame and then fully disappears. If you wouldn't have mentioned it, I would have thought it was intentional. Not sure whether that was some clever editing or a happy accident, but either way it actually results in something subtly satisfying.
You guys should do this more often... kinda like you're own spinoff of VFX artists react You see cool tech intro videos, try to breakdown how they do it, and see how it was actually done
Andrew: this is incredible, he's replicated 100k worth of robot with a paper towel. Absolutely amazing Marques: *stare in camera till it cuts* I'm playin but come on man a few nice words from you would've been nice for the creators 😂❤️
Aha i noticed that too. Think it comes from a difference in reaction style. Marques doesn't like to talk over the work while andrew doesn't mind. Think the best solution would be for them to be able to pause it at will to give them a chance to talk.
I like how competitive Marques is, while the other guys are praising, Marques is probably thinking, I need to get better, how can they copy my stuff so easily, haha
I've always thought MKBHD's intros are a bit overkill for a youtube video 😅They are well made tho, and awesome job by the ones who are recreating them.
The concepts I come away with are the paid weekend seminars or workshops of how to use your equipment better. Years ago when I was doing food photography and learning about the many features of my newly bought Canon SLR camera and accessories, these were the types of "learning moments" I looked forward to spend my time and learning something new. The camera store in town would and still does offer these types of classes, depending upon the customer's interests. Want to buy another lens? Then spend a day with us afterwards and we will offer you that experience of getting better usage out of your new investment. Ten years later.. I still only go to those stores, when I want or need to buy something else. So invite these people together and learn something from one another. 😃
Prime video example that your tools will take you further, but they're not what gets you sprinting. Really liked seeing the practical effects using cheap everyday gadgets, well done everyone.
The first guy just killed it with the animation👏💯

Congratulations Yash Gupta, for making into the MKBHD team!

Dude Maqrues looked more pissed than impressed that some guy did it with a paper towel 😂
"MKBHD Team Reacts to ..." literally needs to be a series these guys can start.
Are you hiring the first guy? That was perfect 😂
I think the MKBHD Studio team is about to get larger, lol
The innovation from these guys is just amazing, especially from the first guy
I’d love to see the MKBHD Studio team try out some of these techniques or similar as a creative challenge for future intros. Great episode guys!
Such a great video idea! Definitely want to see this again with new content creators + their vids.
Super cool for sharing and super cool for all the creators out there doing kajillion dollar shots with a few books and a paper towel. 😁

Really cool video and nice to give people platform to shine and show what they have been creating plus added bonus of Mac 🐶 showing up ☺
Hoping there would be a Part 2 for this! I wanna make one of my own recreations as well. Loved this.

I feel like this is MKBH’s way of saying “I’m looking for someone better than you” or “I’m looking for your replacement”
The MKBHD clips almost always look better, but it says a lot that the other creators can get so close on such a small fraction of MKBHD's budget.
I think Jack Gordon was purposely not hiding things so you can see how he does it, like you would in a parody to call something out, because I noticed he did that in the other clip as well.

The MKBHD Studio is getting more ideas on editing techniques to use in future video intros. Can't wait to see what new techniques they use.

Awesome job in recreating MKBHD intros. It's good to see them recreate professional shots with just daily use products.
This was a brilliant video! I’d love to see more of them and really enjoyed the commentary.
I loved the energy in this reaction video. Creators offering honest feedback about other creators!
The first and the last guy really did brilliant in their own way 🔥
That first recreation was just fire 🔥
Would love to see more of this. Absolutely loving The Studio channel.

Your intros are always top notch!
My obsession with dogs just took over the tech nerd side of me. My focus just shifted from the main content to Mac. He is adorable!
if there was an academy for youtube video production, team MKBHD would win like at least 4/5 oscars 🙄
Great video! Super cool seeing what some fans are capable of!
Looking at these fan videos, really shows that you dont need the fancy equipment, but just a lot of creativity.

Incredible effort by fans! You guys should treat them with some MKBHD merch!
Totally loved it. People are so creative. It's an amazing world we live in.
this video was cool and we want more videos like this I really enjoy ngl
If someone shows me the recreated ones as MKBHD videos, I will believe them it's shot by MKBHD

The creativity with how these folks got their shots using what they had is admirable.
