      J fetherston lol I know right! I tried to incorporate some basic aspects that many of our lakes here in northern Wisconsin have. A few folks have thought it was a lake they knew but honestly, I just drew a large weed flat, some rock humps and a neck down area. Many different lakes that I fish have these characteristics

      Awe man, here I thought i now had it all figured out 😬.. well, minus one rock pile its still spot on! Great presentation, i took a lot from it. You’ve probably fished the lake, it is split in two by the forest / oneida co. line ...

    Chas, OMG! Fantastic vlog. You should have seen me. As you know I am about to make my pilgrimage from California to the Northwoods. I had all of my maps on the table trying to relate to the points you were showing for the Classic fall bite. Now I have highlighter marks all over them. In part 2 are you going to speak of the types of lures as you did early in the vlog? What an education.. Great teacher. Can't wait for part 2. Thanks, DUDE!

    Might be a bit pricey but perhaps when the school district puts in an order you can pick one up at their discount as part of that order. A SmartBoard might be a good tool to have if you want to continue to provide illustrations during your Vlogs. Thanks for continuing to put out your Vlogs. They provide great information for those of us that are not seasoned veterans.

    Chas! Thank you so much for all of your videos, they are all so helpful I dont think I've seen one where I havn't learned anything but I am left with a question for you after this video! I started fishing the St.Lawrence river and its tributaries in July for muskie and your tips and tactics have led to 6 muskies in the bag between me and my brother and we have had eyes on several other fish. All but one have been after dark but lately as we are coming into this seasonal change our action has dwindled down to nothing at night. Have you noticed a decline in musky feeding activity at night during fall and the late season as the water temps drop that makes them difficult to catch at night or is our problem most likely an example of a needed tactic/ location change. I look forward to hearing your thoughts thanks!

    • @MuskyMastery
      @MuskyMastery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nick Pellerin first I am so excited that my videos and tips have helped you boat 6 awesome muskies! That is just fantastic !!! And interesting to hear your observation about the night bite later into the season. I would recommend trying to focus on fishing other times of the day if your night action has decreased significantly. The bite changes on all of our lakes throughout the season for many reasons and as hunters we must collection data, observe and let’s those things inform our hunting strategy. So, target them at different times. I personally do not do a huge amount of night fishing during the mid to late fall but I could be missing a bite! We always must be trying different things constantly to improve

      @@MuskyMastery Thank you!! Great advice as always! I wasnt able to make it out long before sunset but me and my brother switched up tackle and targeted a different depth and scored our first two fish night both fish coming right on a prime feeding window. Buot to get out there today, here in Minnesota it’s definitely fall, the temps are gonna be low out there today but we’ll have a blast anyways.
    I will edit my comment when I get back to say how it went.
    Edit: We had a FANTASTIC day, no muskie, but 3 pike and a boat load of bass, five of the bass were fantastic size, and caught a new personal best bass at a little over 6lbs.

  • @ticesine6589
    @ticesine6589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thats you rigjt Chaz? Ya i have a question for sure , i am in a major musky area and its been the worst season ever. Its around 25 , 26 degrees celsius, it hasnt really gotten cool yet but the water is cooler then it was. Here is the.problem , almost every single musky at my spot has been caught by bass and walleye anglers on tiny little crankbaits. Thats all they seem to be biti g , i tried and tried with the little cranks and nothing. The season is getting close to.over and i get follows everyday but no.bites. i am just not having fun anymore at all , i fish them from dams off shore

    • @MuskyMastery
      @MuskyMastery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      tice sine so getting right to the point here, If you’re fishing from shore then figure-8’ing is likely very challenging for you? That would make it hard to score on followers. If anglers catch all of these muskies in small lures then, you must use small lures. Is there a particular color that works best? What are these other anglers doing that you are not. You must find an answer to this question. Have you tried “bass fishing” for muskies without success like these other folks?
      Also, with fall and cold temps comes live bait fishing and it’s effectiveness. You can be VERY effective fishing with live bait from shore for muskies with quick strike rigs. I’d highly recommend this tactic to score this fall. End with a 🤛🤛

    • @ticesine6589
      @ticesine6589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MuskyMastery thanks for the response Chas , i dont believe in using live bait, its inhuman, i dont see the difference between a musky and a sucker they are both living things. I have tried everything , those guys that were catching them had mono , no leader and tiny bass baits getting them at dusk. Most of the time they break off and leave a lure in the fishes face. There are four or five of us getting advice off line from all the pros and not one of can get on. The season is almost over now and only a couple catches , there are more muskies in that spot than any spot i have ever heard of , its a dam under contruction and not even that much water. Not one musky lure works so i feel i wasted a lot of time and money, muskies wont even.touch a bucktail or bulldawg down there. I think.it may be quitting time for me w seasons and i have never had fun .just not enjoyable at all standing there everyday catching.nothing.

    • @MuskyMastery
      @MuskyMastery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tice sine I think you have to change the way you’re looking at the situation. Try to think of the valuable experiences you’ve gained in your hunting there. I would also kindly suggest this, despite there potentially being many muskies in this spot you’re fishing - - > change bodies of water! Go hunt muskies somewhere new this fall!!!

    • @ticesine6589
      @ticesine6589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MuskyMastery I think your right Chas , thank.you for the advice.

    • @MuskyMastery
      @MuskyMastery  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ticesine6589 Just speaking from experience dude. I have had some great runs on certain bodies of water when it seemed you couldn't make a bad cast! And then years on those same lakes where you can't buy a musky for a million$$$. So moving and being mobile is key to staying on a hot bite!
