To be honest, those are somewhat immature reactions. Art is subjective, and just because you don't like certain cards doesn't mean they're necessarily mediocre. I don't blame you, but it's unfortunate that you haven't found a better way to express your frustration .

Nah. The card is mid at best. Let the man speak his mind.

We didn’t get a great chase card in sword and shield to chilling reign, that blaziken. So we just got the greninja, sky is the limit now.

The art in S&V is better across the board, particularly the IRs and SIRs. The top 3-5 chase cards in SWSH were possibly better (so far) but on the whole, S&V has more amazing art and we're only halfway through

Im thinking SV era going to be like sun & moon era, where the best sets are in the final year... maybe upcoming eeveelution, gym/rocket and possible black&white set next year will be the bangers that we are looking for

Some peoples first game is scarlet and violet got to give them a chance to enjoy new stuff. If ur looking for hype stuff collect non set cards. Ponchos scream or mario pikachu comes 2 mind. Its better have 1 card worth $5000 than 100 $50 cards. Investment grade collectibles are usually the top 5-10% of a category.

I would rather the 100 $50 cards or 50 $100 cards but in the same breath I would rather the $5000 card over 500 $10 cards. $20 cards and up is the sweet spot but once you hit $50 and up is where the bangers are at. If you are in a money pinch you could easily sell $50 to $100 cards but you might not want to sell the one big card.

From an investment perspective the time horizon similar to what we had with base set makes S&V era very important. The young kids' base set IS the S&V era (paldea evolved specifically). Millineals and early genz have kids that are the age of pokemon collecting. They will know the paldean pokemon better than most of the other generations because this is what theu are growing up with NOW.

I really prefer themed sets, so 151 and Paldean Fates imho are the best sets of the s&v era.. Pokemon really need to do more of these, it just feels that they just pick like 200 random cards, find a name like "Brazen infinity" or something and release the set without any effort to make it special. I mean Shrouded Farse was a "special" set and it's just rubbish. Special my...

Sword and Shield was Top Tier‼️⚔️🛡🔥 I agree with you. The scarlet & violet era has been so mid this year, normal art rares without texture are doing better than special art rares, doesnt make sense.😵‍💫 They have been missing the mark this era.

Me and my son got back in at Obsidian Flames and we back tracked all the way to Brilliant Stars. We stopped opening packs at Temporal Forces. We were lucky to hit an SIR in TF booster box. Now that hit rates aren't guaranteed we are buying singles. You will never get your money worth opening packs. Literally 3 out of 4 packs is just fire starter. I actually think Illustration Rare will hold value, not all but the Magikarp, Groundon, Eeveee and the rest that are highly regarded characters with great art. They remind me of Trainer Gallery cards but with harder pull rates and that should keep them somewhat valuable. I love the Scarlet & Violet Era. Its like they perfected the Alt art sets from S&S.

What you should do is buy the cards you want, to me the Greninja is nice from TM the Gengar from TF is nice even Iron Crown EX the one with the Japanese blossom tree and the sun in the background is really nice it’s not an original Pokemon but it’s a nice card it’s nice artwork, so you may not like the sets as a whole but certain cards are nice to me if there’s any cards you like from these sets you should invest into those sets maybe invest less then you did from SWSH yes I agree but maybe instead of investing in S&V or trynna find a reason, maybe you can still invest in S&V but maybe you can go back and invest some more of your money in SWSH, for instance a Brillant Stars booster box that you really like TCG player price is like $170 - $185 thats an average of like $5 a pack you could justify buying another BS booster box rather then getting upset that Pokémon isn’t releasing new sets that interest you, because at the end of the day it’s just a phase SWSH just a phase XY just a phase a era that no one was interested in but now all of a sudden a bunch of people are trynna hype up Mega X cards it’s crazy how no one cared and all of a sudden okay everyone wants Mega cards now from XY, but yeah don’t be worried about leaving the hobby just find other products to invest in, maybe buy some 3 pack blisters of Sun and Moon Team Up, or maybe buy a booster box youve said you wanted a booster box from Sund and Moon maybe make that goal come true now that there aren’t any sets coming out that interest you? Double down on the products and sets you’ve already invested in you should be good

@@eons2eons800 100% but the excitement building positions isn’t the same from buying new positions. the potential is there in this era just losing patience i suppose

You are also comparing the end of one generation to the beginning of another. Of course the end of the generation is better, they build up to it.
If you compare the beginning of SwSh vs SV, SV is much better.

They have to give these dlc and new Pokémon the spotlight cause they prob won’t ever be in it again. This wraps up the dlc so I think from here on out you’ll get exactly what you want. Surging has lati@s and pilachu, team rocket(which I guarantee will have a mewtwo and maybe Snorlax), then terastial festival eevees, BW and then the Legends games, etc. I think there is plenty to collect right now and even more on the horizon

Pokemon designs sets in conjunction with the games it simple to see how they choose the pokemon to spotlight. from SV base to even Surging Sparks its all references to the games. Twilight Masquerade is massively focused on the Teal Mask DLC similar also applies to Stellar Crown Toperagos is very big in the new anime. They won't prioritize older pokemon SARs until they think have they decided they have covered enough of the games. personally to me 151 is super boring since Kanto is over done i would rather collect more of the newer pokemon SARs like Roaring Moon/Walking Wake etc than anything 151.

You’re just a collector. Play the game.
Collector only opinions, seriously never matter.
