The officers actually went to prison because of the videos that showed what happened after the guy was cuffed and passed out. You know, the videos showing one officet kneeling on the handcuffed suspect's right carotid artery and compressing the left carotid into the pavement with sustained pressure for multiple minutes after the handcuffed suspect went limp and passed out. And the officer's hands were in his own pockets the whole time demonstrating that there was no threat from the suspect. And the videos capture a crowd of people begging all the officers to check the man's pulse and a jiu jitsu practicioner who correctly narrated the passing out and death from right behind the camera. I'm a white conservative but I'm also a BJJ black belt and I promise you: you watch that video with any other seasoned Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and they'll tell you the same thing.
The other cops went to jail because they successfully prevented all the common sense bystanders from stopping that officer from murdering that man right there on camera. And ignored them begging for his life.
And people marched and caused all sorts of hell because stupid people still think that videos like this justify murdering that unfortunate punk. It's what happened after the suspect passed out that counts, not what happened before the murderer arrived on scene.

@@OldGreg33-y3k while it maybe doesnt fit the the definition of "murder" I think its pretty clear that the force used was unreasonable and took a mans life. I don't think anyone is arguing that Floyd was a saint, but officers have a duty of care (or at least they should). The force used on him was not reasonable, he was in handcuffs, he was in custody. While it may not be "murder" which would require premeditation, it certainly was an unreasonable and unnecessary death, so manslaughter at the very least, but it was cold and callous I watched the trial with all of the body cam video, you dont just accidentally kneel on a man and then when he stops moving continue the restraint. A small child knows you cant choke people.

He was a druggy punk. But the video that matters is the one that shows what happened after the cuffed punk passes out, not the one that shows how the punk acted before the convicted murderer arrived on scene. You know, the video where you can watch the cuffed punk pass out and go limp and watch the officer with his hands in his own pockets, continue to maintain constant bodyweight pressure with his right knee compressing the punk's right carotid artery while left carotid artery is compressed by being smooshed into the pavement...and you can hear people begging the officers all to stop and check his pulse...and another jiu jitsu practicioner literally correctly narrates that the punk has passed out and they are gonna kill him if he doesn't get off and begging all the officers to just look..... and then you see them drag his limp body on to the stretcher. And the bystanders are yelling how they killed him..... pretty sure that was as the video that matters. Watch that video any seasoned BJJ practitioner and they'll tell you the same thing: This was like watching someone put on a rear naked choke and refuse to let go after the guy passes out until the guy dies. That is the video that matters. Just horrible. This video doesn't mean anything. And the fact that people continue to think that stuff like this means anything is the reason why they rioted.

Not 13 seconds of a guy having a gun pointed in his face and not knowing if he should have his hands up or on the wheel. The officer is yelling at him instead of trying to de-escalate the situation. George is obviously already agitated. You are acting like a bully, and so is the cop. He was obviously killed by the officer's knee and the location of knee placement. It's not just oxygen that is required to die from pressure on your neck. Go watch the original full clip. Understand the hostility the officer is showing. Understand the fear that is being felt by George and onlookers. Go take a look at how George died, and then tell me his breathing wasn't impaired in any way as he tries to breathe through his fingertips and can hardly gasp that "I can't breathe". His last words, his name, have been dragged through the dirt. Drugs aside... don't get me started about Big P. People use him as some sort of shield they can use to go out and commit horrible actions in their own vandalism, then continue to blame their actions on somebody else. It's insane.
