I’ve been wearing the original black honey since the late 80’s and to me, it’s def worth it. I haven’t found a match yet that can compare. I just save up and purchase less often but it’s always going to be black honey.
Wow! The price has probably increase quite a bit in the time you have been using it. Has the quality or formula changed at all over the years? Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment.
Thanks for the review! I was influenced by social media this week 😂 had never heard of this lipstick but loved the color and sheerness for summer. So I purchased the Elf balm in store yesterday and ordered the sheer lipstick online! I really like the balm it is more purpley, but I’m hoping the lipstick is closer in color. I like that brown red mix that makes it so neutral and wearable. I’m so excited 🥳 I’m not a Burts Bees fan so I have to pass on those. I’ve had their stinky products before and don’t care for it either. Eventually I want to try the original Clinique. Hopefully in a sale! Thanks for sharing ✅
I think it's had its time to be honest. I like the Burts Bees red dahlia as a dupe. It's less pigmented but it's more comfortable on the lips and a third of the price. Thank you for a great review! Xx
Thank you for this review! I really love the shade for Clinique Black Honey, but it is too expensive for me, as I’ve never bought any cosmetics more than $20. So I have been looking for any alternatives that has the similar shade. I might try the Elf Black Cherry… 🥰 But ofc, I want to try the original if I have the chance.
Thanks for your comment. The Elf Black Cherry really is a good dupe, however; in using it more I find the Burt's Bees one to be a better dupe. The only thing is that their products do kind of smell bad. I usually don't buy cosmetics that cost much more then $10 or $15 lol. Thank you for watching!
Hi David. Thank you for your comment. Are you meaning the ELF Black Cherry? It may be a little more slick than Clinique. But I don't feel like it's that noticeable. Thank you for watching!
Ohhh, that is disappointing. I find it can be a gamble when trying new products. I know I've been there. Hopefully you will find one that you like. Thanks for watching and thank you for your comment.
@@everydaykelly i know!!! the gloss though is sooo nourishing, i just wish the black honey lipstick was more moisturizing then i would buy it more often :(

@@everydaykelly the formula hasn’t changed but the price has yes. Lol.

Thanks for watching! Despite trying not to be, I'm influenced by social media as well and just have to try stuff for myself.

I do find myself reaching for the burts bees more often. Thank you for your comment and thank you so much for watching!

Would you say the elf one comparable in texture? It looks shinier than black honey but such a beautiful color!

@@everydaykelly thank you, that helped! 😊💜 I love it I'm just not looking for a gloss.
Kelly! You’re back.
I am! Although I really didn't go anywhere. I just had difficulty finding the time to get a video together. I hope you enjoy.
Mine never comes out that dark it’s like tinted lip balm on me very disappointing 😩

i love how this looks on me and i like how it initially feels on my lips, but after wearing it the whole day it dries my lips out. :(
I find that too with these types of products. They are more for the look and less for nourishment. Thank you for your comment!
