noobie music listener here what difference does the mic make?
@@shrivatsankchari1729 mics pickup frequencies differently, I'd recommend getting into an audio software and EQ a sample of your voice, you'll eventually find out what frequencies bring out your best sound and you can pick a mic that will work for you. The SM7 is a mic that pics up higher frequencies very well and worked great for me. A decent mic will give you a more crisp and higher quality recording to work with, but it'll need paired with a great interface as well, I used a Steinberg mkII for my interface they are relatively cheap on the used market
