Can we now have a serious talk about this manager?
4 away wins in 2024. Lost the last 8 away games out of 12
Plays the same tactics, regardless of home and away. Refuses to adapt in games when needed. Brings on defensive subs when we need a goal.
Says some bizarre things in post match interviews which makes me think he is a yes man.
Plays a ridiculous high line when forced to play 2 slower centre backs and inverted fullbacks, so technically we only play with 2 defensive players. This also means when we attack and commit players, when the ball is inevitably taken from us in a turnover. The opposition have more time and space to finish.
0% of our goal kicks get lumped up the field to try and exploit Solanke's height. All kicks are played out from the back time and time again we get caught out by a single lack of concentration which ends up rattling us in certain games.
We have dropped the most points from winning positions. This shows a real lack of mental strength and game management.
We padded our squad with expensive inexperienced youth who are struggling in this already inconsistent team. Also this desire to play blistering pop gun football is causing more and more injuries.
'But Ange has had loads of injuries and he hasn't got his full 11'
This is a BS argument put forward. We have not been good since Chelsea gave us a hiding at home last season. Ange has been well and truly found out since that game and he still fails to adapt to each opponent.
What does Djed Spence have to do to get in this team, when we select 4 goal keepers for our Europa League squad.
'But we beat Utd and City'
Yes, both teams going through their low points and will still finish higher than us.
When City beat us in the FA Cup last year, Pep put an extra man on Vicario because he noticed that we only zonal mark. Since then we have been hounded on set pieces because we don't man mark. Look at the goal Bournemouth scored today.
We have to recognise the following:
Ange signed off on Timo Werner twice!!!! £165k a week!
£65m spent on one season wonder and tap in merchant Solanke
£30m on Archie Gray. Yes great potential, but £30m!!!
Johnson has goals...yes ill give him some credit, but in build up play his first ball always hits the man and rarely makes it into the box.
Playing with no real number 6 and then expecting Bissouma who is an 8 to adapt is not working. Maddison not playing in his best position as a 10 and often seeing him near his own box having to make tackles. This is not his speciality. He has high goal and assist contributions for a reason, but we play him deeper in some games.
Sad to say, but i think Son is done on the wing, he can't beat a man anymore and should be played as a shadow striker. Also with the inverted fullbacks udogie is taking up space and things get congested on the left.
Udogie has also regressed, he rarely puts in a cross, he gets into the box and then always tries a pass to Son, regardless of where he is. I miss his aggression and running to the by-line.
Generally most players have regressed under Ange bar Porro.
I don't even get excited when going to watch Spurs now. I don't know which team will turn up. I don't know which players will turn up. However the same patterns of play are happening over and over again and I don't understand how Ange cannot see this.
I know I am an armchair fan, but the eye test is suggesting we are just a team of busy idiots. Rushing around looking industrious, but it produces nothing.
Unfortunately unless Levy puts his hands in his pockets and buys some players of genuine quality and not players that are simply available, then I fear it's over for Ange.
I want to like the guy, but sadly you have all been gaslit into thinking attacking football is in our DNA. I don't care what football we play, I just want us to look semi professional and maybe even try to win something.....we don't seem to have a winning culture. More we are just happy to be there
    Conte was right

Interesting statement there, alot sadly i cant disagree with.
Your last paragraph, the semi professional.
Last night againest B'rnmouth reminded me annoyingly of close to being a non league ⚽️ side🤔.
Forster showed alot of courage and saved COYS bacon. Kuleuvski is about the only one with determination attempting to rescue scorelines, points & Premier League standings.
Son looks utterly lost, has done for awhile.
Maddison seems to fluctuate with performances😐.
Solanke, i dont know what to make of him.
Would reducing the players salaries according to their performances hold any clout ?.
Changing Manager again!🤔. Wont achieve anything at all.
      Except further unsettlement, including :
      ⚽️ severance pay.
⚽️ another manager to get used to.
⚽️ more players in & out to suit there structure & strategy.
⚽️ different training methods or possibly the same with yet more of same fluctuating results, nothing achieved.
⚽️ PLUS, other managers & clubs talk to each other. They'll stealthy advise one another - Dont go to Spurs.
⚽️ Just where tf do Spurs go from here 🤔 ?.
Does Levy & ENIC need to put a statement out showing determination moving forwards ?.
⚽️ STAY with Ange Post with conditions he HAS to adapt style of play accordingly & stop being so efn stubborn 🗣😡.

    @todareistodomyfoot8403 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

Igy man, there's no room for top quality ready-made players at this club. Every manager will fail because of the wage structure. Levy's already signed Solanke - Odoberg and Johnson: so that's 3 forwards that are nowhere near the standard that we need to even try to get 90 goals a season.
Son is in the twilight of his career and waning. Maddison has three years left at least of top quality, but he's working with rubbish.
Remember, Levy signed Kulusevski on the back of just 2 goals for the whole season in the Premier League, and nothing has changed as he's got 2 goals now with 3 assists in the Premier Leauge.
Daniel Levy is not stupid, he signs players that he knows will get us into the top half of the table. He couldn't care less about the Champions League because he hasn't backed not one manager that's achieved top 4. If Ange goes now, then Levy is going to bring in another puppet like Rodgers, Southgate or Potter.
He told us that the last transfer window was a cost-cutting exercise, but the supporters will still blame the manager. Ange will get sacked and walk away with the biggest pay cheque of his career so far. The next manager comes in and will have to work with the same wage structure, which means he'll end up like all the managers before him.

    • @mydays4387
      @mydays4387 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@@mydays4387 If I let my true feelings known, it would cause outrage. There's a reason why this club goes nowhere under Levy and Co. He see's us as cattle to be milked every day. He's a business man who's god is money. Some people have a sickness and Levy's ailment is gold and silver. The guy is 62 years of age, he could be living on yacht somewhere in the Mediterranean living the high life, but that's not what gets his dick hard. I can't see him selling up for another 5 to 10 years. And we'll most likely be involved in franchise football then. The new Champions League format is basically franchise football but they won't admit it yet.

The Poch era got us close.
The team was build on a very modest budget and almost took us to the promised land.
we started losing key players like Dembele, Tripps and Eriksen, the relationship betweentge board and Poch broke down, it started going down hill, so Poch got the chop and Levy was obviously trying to go for tgat ready made success with Jose.
The story is obviously longer, but dont want to bore everyone, and i think that part highlights what i want to mention.
I have a slightly different outlook on the owners.
I see them going to efforts, i see them trying to push us on with also a series of club record signings.
I dont actually think there is a lack of caring or effort, i do see them trying to get there. But they are trying to do it in a different way. And i do think the footballing decisions made have been awful.
Why hire managers like Jose and Conte on record deals, knowing they are going to want the resources, but not giving it to them? Its crazy.
And just the rate of effective signing from the weeds is ridiculously low when you look at the money weve spent on them.
I am really struggling to figure out what the clubs plan is at the moment. They brought in an unknown gamble at this level of a manager, who is completely gung ho. Got rid of 22 players in 1 window (which did need to go) but replaced them with a few kids and a record signing average player Solanke. Cutting the wage bill by something like 40 mill a year.
And never using the kids bought.
Its just so chaotic at the moment. Nothing makes sense.
I dont currently see any direction like what i could see in the past.

For me Ange has to Go. He decides how we go about things on the pitch and it clearly doesn't work and yes the squad is not great but a better manager would manage the players better and would get more out of them. A change would give some respect to try to get as much out of a season as possible leaving it would make it worse for the club and the supporters and its future. I would like to see someone in new that is a proven premier League manager that can bring stability to the way we play . I just want a manager that has his way of playing and if we have issues in any particular area of the defence or midfield or upfront then he looks to adjust it. If a new manager has understanding of the premier League and levy and has a plan of his own knows who he would keep let go and have his own list of players to bring in to bring stability to the squad. I hope that makes the squad more stable. I want Levy out and Joe and Ange and his team of yes men behind him to Go. No Southgate or Mason thank you. David Moyes or Thomas frank or someone I have not named to bring stability to the club and the squad and build a more stable squad based on players they know and want to bring some respect to things and Graham potter or someone as temporary if going for Thomas frank. Levy out

Ange in ! We have to suck with a manager and a plan for longer than 18 months. It takes time. We can’t ‘buy’ a ready made team… it not what the ownership want to do. We know this, let’s stay together with Ange and these players and work on a longer term slower development!

Forest, Brighton, Fulham and Bournemouth managers all doing better with less resources and less time in the premier league!
We accept failure & mediocrity simple.

@ forest yes. But we know Nuno is not better than Ange. Brighton have a solid structure, and I believe Silva has been at Fulham longer than Ange. Bournemouth is playing well at times. Another note, our loses have all been by one goal… and the table is so tight. We could easily be above all of these teams, and I believe we will be by season’s end!

Well I guess Spurs should fold because Levy isn’t resigning and Ange won’t change tactics. A renovation always looks bad when you are in the middle of it. Spurs did not deserve to win against Bornmouth and Fullham but they also don’t have a full squad either. Plan A is to run the opposition off its feet. Plan B would be to tell the players it’s ok to be lazy. The team needs time.

I dont believe its entirely Ange Pogs fault. But Pogs stubborness is a weakness.
Levy IS the main problematic issue without a doubt.
Injuries dont help, alot of players have this air of Entitlement about them.
Players salaries across the Premier League in general are f***ing shocking, so is their networths!.
Players salaries at PL clubs needs to be economically reasonable Not Astronomically🤔⚽️💷.
How players Demand salaries is beyond me. More fool PL clubs for paying £70k upwards a week. Its pure greed!.

@ I am not sure what players salaries have to do with anything. The player is either soft or they are not soft. They either enjoy football or they don’t. They either get white line fever or they don’t. Who would say no to a bag of cash being thrown at them? I wouldn’t. Would you?
I can tell you that Ange thrives in this environment, he lives to coach, he is not soft and has white line fever. He will find a solution to get out of the mud. You cannot deny that Spurs have a lot of injuries and a lot of holes that need to be plugged.

      @@KK-qi6mt I hear you.
I agree with you reference Ange Pos.
The point of players salaries is their individual performances, week in, week out.
Very few of them deserve their over the top salaries.
Purely based on principle, i wouldnt accept a Huge wad of cash, if i didnt deem worthy. Thats just me though.

Any success Ange P has had must have been bloody flukey! What liitle football brain he had, has totally evaporated since signing for Spurs! I mean what other manager deploys his tactics for any top team & gets success? He's a bloody chancer who got lucky because he will earn a big pot of money for basically destroying attractive, competitive football at our club. Please get him OUT!! Levy sell to a new owner you've had a good crack at it but you also have failed in winning anything.
