I test drove this car right after I test drove an X5 and I felt the MDX was such a better driving car. it may not have had as much power nor was the engine as silky smooth, but the handling was much more stable and the steering felt so much more secure.
@@Sayrenad In the X5? I drove both in regular mode which I would do 95% of the time. Apples to apples driving experience. Funny enough I drive an X5 50i today so I know exactly what the Sport/Sport Plus/Sport S/Sports Plus S can do.

I've owned the last 2 generations of MDX - one of them was 2020 A-spec. The driving experience was amazing - it felt tight and responsive. The console with so many levels of controls and buttons had been a nightmare, even for myself who has driven Honda/Acura vehicles in the past 20 years. All the buttons have similar colour and size, so very difficult to figure out where things are, especially at night-time. Also, the rear air vents are on the floor and you barely get any heat/AC to the third-row - kids were either freezing or burning there. Just some feedback from my past ownership.

Just bought the 2022 MDX with technology package in white, and I looooove it! The infotainment system takes a little getting used to, but it’s pretty nice after a week or so of practice.
This was literally the most helpful review on this car! I have a toddler who uses the same Graco car seat and am due with #2 in 2 months and we have the UPPAbaby infant seat. I was so worried about how the car seats would fit and it was my only reservation. It's the most complicated part of buying a car as a mom for sure. It's like you read my mind. We have this car but a 2023 and love it a lot! Gives you most of the practicality/reliability/value of a Pilot while providing most of the luxury/comfort/excitement of a Mercedes
Part of what makes the cargo capacity smaller is the sportback type slope of the the cargo door. I have the uppbaby vista and constantly have to adjust its placement so it doesn’t hit the rear windshield. The additional storage underneath is wonderful, especially if you want to get groceries and have baby gear as well. Fruits and such stay put in that little compartment.
I love love love your reviews! I’m child free but have two dogs that go with me everywhere. The way you analyze space and storage is so applicable for me. No other reviewers cover what you do or how fun and entertaining you do it. Please, pahleeeeez review the new Lincoln Aviator!
Just test drove a 2022 MDX A-spec and it was great. I agree that the base model is the best option. However, our Acura dealership said the likely won't make any base models in 2023 and there will be very few tech models as well. They pretty much will only be producing A-spec and higher trims which is unfortunate from an affordability perspective.
I like the website build your car part of the video. Not seeing other reviewers doing this. It's where it all started for me as a shopper across all brands before deciding on the MDX. Honda, Acura, Toyota have great websites with detailed info. but many others not so much. Can't believe how weak some brands have really bad websites with few details, seems to me a website would be the cheapest form of advertisement they could offer.
Hard disagree on not adding at least the technology package. Base model does not have integrated sun shades in the second row and the adaptive cruise doesn’t have low speed.
Currently shopping for SUV's. Wife won't get a minivan. We've got infant twins and a 2-year-old. Is this MDX (the 2022) the ONLY one that removes the middle seat?! Even in luxury cars? I can't believe that if it's the case. Totally agreed that all SUV's should have this!

vs? Infotainment system was 10 year dated in prior versions. Now its only 3-4 years back from it competitors... Back up camera is not that great and overall features and tiny compared to my 2013 car...

Yes, where I'm from we get above 110 degrees easy. With the entire 2nd and 3rd row sharing AC vents from the little center console this is a deal breaker. Bummer.
Same - Phx mom, my hubby loves Acura but is super picky about vents for our 5 yo. We have a 10 yr old Ford Edge with 50k miles…looking for a sharp upgrade.

You definitely have the persona to get up there in popularity so hopefully you get a lapel mic to cut out background ... you don't even need higher camera quality just resolution. Best of luck! I hope Acura sells some sort of cover for that removable middle seat area so you don't have those connectors exposed at all times. Would make it safer

Like Chris Harris said when reviewing Honda e, Toyota is run by a bunch of accountants, Honda is run by a bunch of engineers(I add passionate drivers as some including ceo race cars), also Mr Honda's philosophy which is reliability, fun to drive, economical, practical and affordable, innovation. Honda always gives you what you need and some of what you want, so if someone wants a Audi... Get a Audi, someone wants a Hyundai, get one, but if you want a Honda... Get one and stop comparing 1Or two aspects of another vehicle. Honda is one of the most significant manufacturers of all time and others just improve on what they do, just like Nikola tesla with his inventions.

Were you able to walk into the middle seat without much effort or did you have to move things around? I have this car and have to put in additional car seat soon so wondering how easy it is for an adult to get into the middle of the second row.

Hey Car Mom, I have usually shied away from Ebony - Black interiors. Did you find it ... too hot? I did see a Fathom Blue Pearl / Graystone Interior Which is very sharp in person. The Graystone IMO is the Best Anti- Black bc the parchment and Espresso (I have that now in my 2019 MFDX Advance , but works well with the Canyon Bronze exterior), works with too many colors : Parchment seats , black / gray accents, and a different headliner. The Espresso is worse than the parchment IMO especially with the Liquid Carbon exterior , Too bad Acura elected to Exclude a Graystone with the Carbin combo - that would do it for Me !!
My 6’5” husband kind of made this car not possible to own he has trouble seeing while driving he has to basically duck down. If you are really tall like my hubby i would pass but it is a nice car if you can safely drive it .
I loveeeee this car but what about fuel 😩efficiency ??? …😅means a lot to me as a mom of 4 we gotta save or pocket change especially with today’s gas prices

The build with brown leather and 20” wheels requires technology package which is 4K option. The car she builds is 54k. Still a decent deal imo

Hey Car Mom, I have usually shied away from Ebony - Black interiors. Did you find it ... too hot? I did see a Fathom Blue Pearl / Graystone Interior Which is very sharp in person. The Graystone IMO is the Best Anti- Black bc the parchment and Espresso (I have that now in my 2019 MFDX Advance , but works well with the Canyon Bronze exterior), works with too many colors : Parchment seats , black / gray accents, and a different headliner. The Espresso is worse than the parchment IMO especially with the Liquid Carbon exterior , Too bad Acura elected to Exclude a Graystone with the Carbin combo - that would do it for Me !!
The back seat is low and short . Notice when she is seating there how high her knees are and it seems like a bench more than a seat

My 6’5” husband kind of made this car not possible to own he has trouble seeing while driving he has to basically duck down. If you are really tall like my hubby i would pass but it is a nice car if you can safely drive it .

My son sat in the third row and had a panic attack and it was hot. We ended up not getting this car due to comfort in the back seat
I loveeeee this car but what about fuel 😩efficiency ??? …😅means a lot to me as a mom of 4 we gotta save or pocket change especially with today’s gas prices
