  • This is my second "What I Have Learned From..." video. So... it's a series now, right???? I did it???
The Green Witch Tarot by Ann Moura and Kiri Østergaard Leonard is a mass market deck by Llewellyn Books, and available on sites like Amazon and Book Depository.
The level of pet interference in this video has reached legendary levels. I'm so sorry, everyone. In the meantime, I learned how to do the world's most basic edit as a result, so that's something, right? Also, for some reason I keep calling swords "wands." Please overlook.
If you like this deck, you should check out Kiri Østergaard Leonard's artwork on her website here: kirileonard.com/ She is having a Christmas sale RIGHT NOW!!! LIKE, THIS MINUTE! (Until Dec. 15, 2020.)
Ann Moura is the author of several excellent books on Green Witchcraft, which were foundational in my esoteric studies many years ago. Check out her work too. 💚

The artwork is absolutely beautiful in this deck. I love the earthy and pagan vibes in the artwork. Thank you for showing the cards! Cheers! 💚💚💚

It really, really is. The interplay of light and dark in the deck is so gorgeous. And it's mass market so it's so easily accessible! I wish I clicked more with it, because I love to gaze at it!

Loving this series -- so thoughtful and interesting. I too struggle(d) with The Green Witch. Like you, I loved the art, especially The Sun, The Holly King, The Moon, The Witch, all the Aces, and the Pages and Knights. However, I couldn't work with it. And as much as I would read the entries in the book, I couldn't retain the symbolic meanings of the animals and plants either. It became a source of frustration. I kept it for a long time, simply because I love the art so much, but finally I put it in my "To Go" box. It was one of several, what I would call, pagan decks, that I tried to work with but just couldn't. After attempts at several, including the Everyday Witch (I just can't with those hats), I found the new Witches' Wisdom tarot and it looks like a keeper -- have you looked at that one?

Oh my goodness - it sounds like our experience with this deck was pretty much the same! My eye has been turned by the Witches' Wisdom, but I want to wait to really consider it before I bring a new deck in to my collection. Have you got it? How have you found it to work with? Thank you so much for commenting!

@@AllieSailorFathomFiveTarot Yes, I recently brought three new decks into my collection -- a bit of a splurge but I'm planning on making 2021 a depth year. I'm loving all three of them, and that includes The Witches' Wisdom. The cards are larger and feel more like an oracle in your hands, the guidebook is wonderfully written, and the creator, Phyllis Curott, has a very authentic vibe -- it's a deep deck. Instead of moving from the ground upward toward "the heavens" like the RWS, the Pilgrim's journey moves inward and down toward finding the self in the whole of earth and nature, so the cards are in a different order. I'm probably making it sound confusing, but the creator and artist really manifested their vision well and it's not confusing to work with. The other two decks I got are Mystic Masters by Dani Mystic, which is unbelievably beautiful and I'm enjoying a lot, and another indie deck called Earth Bones Tarot, which reminds me of my time living in the desert and is proving to be the most interesting deck to read with - bare bones, no energy or resources wasted - like the desert itself.

@@aspasiarising4732 Ohhhh... I'm going to check out the Earth Bones too - I LOOOOVE the desert. Love it.

Well done! New skills! Necessity is the mother of invention. Animal Totem Tarot is an epic deck. Can you do that one next? This series is wonderful. I never even thought about this deck...I'm always trying to get stuff that is rare or hard to find, or that I know will be...because I can't bear to miss out. I know that's a pretty weak reason for buying a deck. But I love them, I love the weird and wonderful in tarot! I did have the Everyday Witch. It is a super fun, super easy deck to use, one of the best beginner decks - my daughter absconded with it. I had no idea the Green Witch was so...interesting!

I'm not sure if ATT will be next - I really want to take my time with that one as it is such a good deck and, I think, criminally underappreciated in general! If I can make it work with my busy work week, I will! Although I might need to do these every two weeks instead of every week... don't want to burn myself out or make people sick of me! 😂♥️🙏

I am so happy I have found your channel. Your musings are thought producing. This is the kind of conversations I have with my journal, as I have no real life tarot friends.
I had my "buy all the decks" to discover I am not about collecting, so I need to use my decks. Which then means really connecting to each deck with my life and experience.
I followed you from Justin Michaels Channel, about the WUK. Then discovered a plethora of videos! With animals who love to be heard.
Just wanted to say hi, happy solstice and take care.
