You gotta understand why Benjamin is close to God. He is a recoveing alcoholic who wanted to literally drink himself to death. When you are really living on the edge like that I'm not surprised he turned to divinity for salvation.
The best lyrics can always be interpreted in different ways. I like when there is ambiguity in a song so that the listener can make their own connections. If there was a specific message intended by the writer then that's cool, but if that message is more blatant and directed then I usually enjoy the song a little less. Just my take on song meanings.

This band is my most listened to band, something about his voice just soothes me, if I’m angry, stressed, upset I listen to them and I calm down. Ben burley is amazingly talented. Just about every song by them is good!
As much as I LOVE SPACE, I agree that the video distracts from the message of the song. I suppose it can taken as missing someone, or hoping a loved one stays by your side. I always took it as a cry for God at a time when someone struggled to hear Him. But for sure, Red Cold River is another one you should do, and Dark of You. My other 2 favorites from them.
