It is possible that Brij Bhushan being a BJP bahubali neta knows something about other's ill gotten gains, it isn't unusual for ministers of a certain party to know/keep a record with proof of backhanded/dirty deals that could tarnish the reputation of their peers to save themselves from being thrown under the bus later down the line, so it won't be surprising if he knows such things and that is what pressurizing BJP from making a move on him. They are probably making a deal with him behind the scenes, very possible they may let him escape in the end, help him run away and advertise that they tried to catch him after their "investigation" but he was one step ahead and escaped before they could reach him and police will keep searching for him until he is caught. He will probably stay underground and resurface when things simmer down.
