You should have mentioned that the Hand axe scales well with Dex, and that the Jawbone Axes deals strike damage. Those are two things that set them apart somewhat
I love when you poison someone near instantly, giving yourself a 20% damage boost from kindred of rot, and then your opponent thinks "hey, I'll eat a bolus to clear poison, surely they won't poison me again to enable their buffs!"
This series is very helpful for next playthroughs considering how many weapons with unique hidden movesets exist like that curved sword R2 with an massive amount of succesive attacks. While also giving tips on how some builds are played and their talisman selections, awesome videos.
In regards to the Stormhawk Axe you can get three in a single playthrough. One is in Leyndell by that courtyard behind the Roundtable Manor. For those that didn't know.
I love putting barbaric roar on a bleed infused warped axe. The enhanced heavies give you a three hit combo, which obviously bleeds most of the time. The heavies also have insane hyper-armor.
Something I've noticed catches light loaders and panic rollers a lot of the time is the old ds3 reverse backstep attack. Unlock, backstep and just as the animation frames start, flick down on left stick, then up and attack
Been really enjoying this series so far - I don't touch PVP with a five-foot pole, but it's super interesting to see an experienced perspective on these things. Personally I'm looking forward to the Heavy Thrusting Swords (I main the Bloody Helice, sue me), though as there are only 4 maybe they should be combined into one video with the 7 regular Thrusting Swords? Either way, keep up the good work!
Jawbone doing strike damage is the main perk since most if not all axes do standard damage, which is usually the highest defense state while strike is typically the lowers.
Bro no cap these are the best vids when it come to elden ring because it let you know how every weapon work which is good especially when trying to make a new builds.💯
Axes are probably one of my most common offhand weapons, between the Hand axe as an actual offhand or the Highland Axe for the roar buffs lol. The only one I really used as an main weapon is the Iron Cleaver.
I'm dual weilding Jawbone axes this playthrough and it's PEAK! My right axe has the sword dance AOW and it tears enemies up. The left one I use both hands for cause I put cragblade on it (the poise break is insane) Both are heavy affinity and both deal 1000 damage a hit and sword dance does 3000 damage
When you said I know you are going to go out and farm for this weapon. I was thinking I have farmed for every weapon on four different builds now over the past 16 months. I have enjoyed these videos for sure. Very solid!
Axes are my favorite weapon type. Even if they aren’t the best. I fell in love with them when I chose hero as my starting character and they will always be special to me.
Rosus is kinda underrated, highest range of all axes and great damage, plus the aow hits like a truck and goes off even if you don't have the HA to trade with your opponent
I've not tried axes in Elden Ring, but I was thinking of a strength playthrough and they might be a good option. I don't really like the ungabunga weapons and I did greatswords with my darkmoon build playthrough, so it's either an axe or a greataxe for me. I'm thinking highland axe because I want to try shield parry and that has the crit.
I’m kind of late but a surprisingly good strength option is the standard club. It gets great strength scaling and with cragblade does as much poise damage as the gugs
im pretty new to the game and am on ng+ right now after being a bit bored of the blasphemous blade and these videos are definitely making me excited to try other weapons
I think people underestimate rous' axe since for a long time the weapon art was glitched and didn't do damage, like it literally healed the physical hit damage back up
imo the main selling point of celebrant weapons over their better counterparts is the lower requirements. the skull is lightweight, the cleaver needs less strength investment (good for mages and such), so on
I'm making a master roshi build. Or at least the best I can. I want to see what you can do with the Great Club. Big hammers are a lot of fun and satisfying to bonk with
Really like Selma’s attire choice with their shield and spear setup. The colors don’t clash, but compliment each other properly and match. Drip game definitely on point, as is the ‘theme’ of what I can only assume is meant to be a ‘royal guard’ of some sort, or akin to it. Would definitely like to know what greaves and gloves used. The chest/breastplate and helm I recognize.
Ngl, it seems like I literally cannot hit anyone with an axe. Except for the last axe on the list. That is best axe. That ash of war's hyper armor & damage is fantastic
I was waiting for this video, I find the axe weapon class to be the worst in the game, not because I don't like them but because the way they are done makes it so they have no remarkable advantages over the other weapon classes, good to see you doing them some justice! Btw the dual wield moveset for the axes is weird because is the same moveset as the hammer weapon class dual wield moveset, it even has the same speed, I don't know why they done this, a crushing weapon moveset on a cutting weapon... it feels very off, I wish they changed it in an update
2 days ago i was thinking about doing an axe build so i searched your channel for the video about axes and i didnt find it , i thought to myself he will probably release it in a couple of days and here we are ♥️♥️
Fromsoft has a history of making most or all axes in a game terrible. either via stats, moveset, or both. For example great axes being almost entirely over head chops. Why?
The axe of all time! Let me axe you a question, are axe puns still funny?
Axe-olutely
who you axeing?
I think they are axeolutaly still funny
I dont axually know
I think they are axe-ceptable

Warped axe is one of the best. Use barbaric roar and not only dose it have changed heavy attacks but it hits faster since it's double bladed.
Also using the warped axe with cragblade and its awesome. Use it for the DLC now
I believe in Iron cleaver dominance and superiority
Same
Fun fact I think it gets a lot of its moves from the club
@@TheSuperSpud all except for the heavy attacks yeah
favorite weapon in the game 100%
R1 cleaver

My favorite Elden Ring series!! I hope you do a q&a soon, I wanna axe you a couple questions.
Another small note is that the warped axe has the same status buildup as greataxes, but much faster. Letting this weapon become a great bleed weapon
i did a STR/FAI/ARC build on my second playthrough (at least before flame of the redmanes got nerfed) and learned to love the warped and ripple axe
Axes are probably one of my most common offhand weapons, between the Hand axe as an actual offhand or the Highland Axe for the roar buffs lol. The only one I really used as an main weapon is the Iron Cleaver.

Planning on using the Icerind axe for my next playthrough, which is gonna be an Ice Witch run.
Love the ice rind axe. One of my favs and the ash if op

Finally the axes!!! Axes and hammers are so slept on
Should have put stamp (sweep) on the forked hatchet. It honestly just makes the weapon so much better (:
Nah put poison mist on that mf, stamp is not good.
@@dots1761 I know, it's so bad you will never hit with the first hitbox of sweep. That's the joke...
Ngl i forgot axes existed
"only a 2% chance from imps" *looks at my collection of 20 of them* "...yeah"
My favorite axe is the iron cleaver with the butt slam ash of war for the extra silly moveset
Would rituel shield not be better then the Health talisman?
This truly did give me happiness. Now I need to find what you did for morgotts sword and magma wyrms sword

The first build of rumblego was pretty neat.
The fact that there is no inherently faith scaling one handed axe in this game astounds me
You're axeing the real questions in this one
Thank you for using prayerful strike if I called it like it is but idk. I've never seen that ash ANYWHERE.
Ican't tell what chest piece instigator Selma was using. But that's pea Fashion right there.
Ah yes, the axis we all love
😳
im pretty new to the game and am on ng+ right now after being a bit bored of the blasphemous blade and these videos are definitely making me excited to try other weapons

Oh my golly gosh! Yet ANOTHER upload from monk? How...... queen-like...
monk, are you a One-Direction fangirl?
imo the main selling point of celebrant weapons over their better counterparts is the lower requirements. the skull is lightweight, the cleaver needs less strength investment (good for mages and such), so on
The warped axe is easily farmed at subterranean shunning grounds
Yes!!! Axes, love them
I feel like bloodhound on the cleaver could be pretty funny if you used it hyper aggressively to close distance at mk10
If it isn’t because he’s using all of the weapon classes, it’s to see the titles he comes up and adjectives he uses to mean happiness.
I'm making a master roshi build. Or at least the best I can. I want to see what you can do with the Great Club. Big hammers are a lot of fun and satisfying to bonk with
Highland Axe my beloved
the axe is a great weapon good damage and speed but the hit box is weird i have a hard time to hit big enemies with those
I'm not sure whether you can call Axe of Godfrey a based weapon or not. It has dex scaling, after all.
I use the Icerind axe as my primary weapon as a mage.
Warped axe my beloved
I think your Testing … Videos belong into the Hall of best Entertainment Videos!
Keep it up❤
Im curioud bout this one. Axes are outclassed by almost every pther weapon type, but i dtill really wamna use them at some point
My happiness has risen
Not even joking I was looking for this video 2 days ago
To hell with puns but monk is gooooood
What armor is that? Love the vids

First like wee
First BTW keep up the great work
terrible elden ring content
No
Skill issue
I simply cannot believe that you're still a small TH-camr. You should've blown up 5 times over by now. Keep up the great work!
Yeah honestly first video I watched by him i thought he was a big youtuber
Same, when I watched him first he just "emanated" big TH-camr vibes.
He's been growing pretty steadily since i started watching him about a year and a half ago
once the dlc drops and he makes content abt it he’s gonna blow up
You actually named the video after my comment hahah😂

It would be really cool to se a spear video next love the video btw
It’d probably be pretty annoying to use in PvP but I’d love a vid on all the bows.
Monk out here using the shittiest weapons so we dont have to. What a hero.
Lol jk. Axes are mid at least. But this is good content.
Greathammers next please😊😊
Been waiting on new weapons showcase for weeks!
got to have great hammers next
Battle Axe is my personal favorite, I dual wield two of them to cosplay as the orc from Raid: Shadow Legends
Fromsoft has a history of making most or all axes in a game terrible. either via stats, moveset, or both. For example great axes being almost entirely over head chops. Why?
My favorite axes are the doot blade, frostpain, and the leviathan axe because rahhh(barbaric roar)
The iron cleaver is BUILT DIFFERENT!!
Iron cleaver is my fav weapon in the game, so fun.
Monk video awesome! Five minutes late though
Idk the forked hatchet looks pretty average to me tbh
How do you have enough larval tears to do all these videos
Love your vids but never mind love your videos
Yes, im happy now, thank you
