Thank you for this one especially MSGT LAV! I was issued a “723” in the early 90’s when I was a SWAT Officer. I had no idea until now exactly what it was. All the “experts” said it was a cobbled together Colt because of the M4 barrel, A1ish upper, etc.
You’re looking strong!
BTW, Mr. Hackathorn’s Colt is still running like a top (no surprise!).

Larry thank you for doing these videos and for your service to this country. I have to say the CAR-15 is sort of my “dream” gun. I’m in my 20s, going into LE, but the CAR-15 has been used by some of the most iconic units in history - MACV-SOG, the Unit, etc. I hope all is well and that recovery is moving quickly.
Colt XM177E2 , 723 and 727 are my 3 favorite Colts . I have 723 and 727 uppers .
