Is Eshbaughii different from Tovarii? My saddest pepper moment was when my Tovarii plant finally had flowers but the next day was killed by hurricane Michael. At least I got pictures!
Much different. Eshbaughii has a glandular pubescence all over the plant and leaves. Long clayx teeth of more than 5, average of 10. Lots of nuances differences!
@@PepperGuru Thanks. I was unsure because the name Hardy Eshbaugh came up while I was doing my Tovarii research. He lives down here in FL and still teaches at a university I think. One day I'd like to meet him. I was given Tovarii seeds from friends around the world and feel blessed just for getting as far as I did!
@@hiromikami That first trip to Bolilvia and the town of Samaipata, I was definitely attempting to channel WH Eshbaugh's energy, imagine what it was like back when he was hunting them down, imagining walking on the very road sides he did. It was surreal as my first official wild capsicum find and to be able to publish the first, publicly well known photos of it after it had been reclassified by Barboza was very satisfying.
@@PepperGuru Thank you for sharing your story! I'm proud of you, man. Glad you got to experience that in person because I think all wild capsicum fanatics want to travel to S. America but might never get a chance. So yeah, I get that feeling of awesomeness you must've felt.
Sweet! I actually get to comment! Fantastic vid! I am in Facebook jail for the next month because of computer error. Please don’t remove me from the group for not participating! T Collins
