    I love the design, I love the color, I love the originality of the whole truck. Those hubcaps are just perfect.

    I agree, that wood bed floor is a little different than what you typically see. I like that they used some wood with some character to it, instead of something more uniform. Thanks for checking it out!

    Nice looking truck. I got a 68 F100 with a 300 CID, daily driver. Boxwood green, with white bumpers and grille. I love these guys.

    Ford made the best looking pick ups 67 to 72

    My first vehicle when I was 16 was a 1977 Ford F100. Thanks for taking a look at this one, I appreciate it. Hope you're doing well my friend!

    The 67 to 72 Ford pickup is the best looking of all pickups made in those 5 years and had the greatest selection of engines from the I6 to the 289 V8 in 67 and then the 302 V8 and 360V8 and even larger FE engines were used, plus that BEAUTIFUL twin I Beam front end!! A person had to be stupid to buy a chevy pickup between 67 and 72 when they could have had the Ford instead

    That is Nice It reminds me of seeing them in commercials and magazine ads when I was young I knew someone who had one this year back in th mid 80's same color

  • @RamblinAround

    It definitely could be used as a daily driver. I mean, it's a good running and perfectly usable vehicle. Around here, our winters haven't been that bad in recent years. There is a short time each year, where I'd prefer to keep it put away, but that's about it.

    My Dad had a 69 Ford Ranger that I drove around for a summer. I loved that truck. It's still my favorite.
    It was Red and White 360 automatic. I wish that I still had it.

    My wife and I have the same exact truck except white. It's all original and people always comment about how nice of a truck it is but at some point we will restore it to that level. It was purchased brand new by her grandfather locally made in San Jose CA.

    The only words I can say is your F100 looks Delicious! Not a Factory color yet a Bumpside looks so good when they have had Lots if Love! The difficulty is thinking about having it as a Daily Driver would be having to be haired down every time you park it and going places with it. Such a Magnet to attract attention! Mmmmmmm Nice

    If you watch a lot of horror movies, they seem to use a black 67-72 Ford pickup fairly often. Your truck is the wrong color and just way to clean and nice! You want a black F250 with no hub cap and a few dents, they you have the look..LOL!

    I own a 68 F100 390 V8 ( was a 360) AT. Very good truck and still drive it. Just wish I could restore it like that, but of coarse if it was restored I would be afraid to use like I do now. I'd hate to scratch it

  • @RamblinAround
    @RamblinAround  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I believe the F100 was always considered a half ton as well. The F150 was a heavier duty half ton.

  • @RamblinAround

    Yes, it is a 3 spd manual. I often wonder the same thing. Seems like a lot of time, money, and effort to go through, just to sell it. Maybe some people just like the process of restoring vehicles. Then they sell them to move on to the next one.

    LMC Truck parts are all made in China, cheap re pops. If you want good quality reproduction parts for F series trucks, "Dennis Carpenter Reproductions". Costs are higher, but made from original Ford tooling. I'm from Canada, did my research before restoring my 68' Ranger. Well worth the difference. Fitment and quality of the highest.

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The 360 was not a performance engine, it was never intended to be low compression with a long stroke. It was a working engine, and a good one, I remember many of them back in the seventies had 150,000 miles on them which was unheard of back then. Ford got out of racing in the early seventies , most of their engines had potential there just was not any performance parts available for them or they were hard to find, but the 360 was never meant to be fast but a good engine it was.

    the 360 was a good engine, they were dependable and would last forever if maintained properly but as far as I know they never had any performance capabilities. Every one that I ever remember were dogs when it came to performance, they would hardly run 80 mph.

    The 1968 Ford pickup was a Beautiful, perfect truck. Today they have ruined the pick-up truck with it's aggressiveness and bully-appearance and stupid mag-wheels (I used to like mag wheels then I grew up). People substitute them for a car instead of what their purpose is: The farm, work, and off road. Worse when they put on annoying loud mufflers and bright, blinding lights. These new trucks and autos are for narcissists! Even women drive them because they don't want to be ladies.
