First match I took my girlfriend to and I swear she brought the good luck with her! First win of the season, and two glorious goals to do it with! Here's hoping for more of this form (but not having to come from behind...) as the season goes on!
Picked a great match to take the girl too.. and the crowd was impressive too.
@@AdamGee8 Felt good to see the energy the fans brought get rewarded for once! The pandemonium when the goals are scored and the smokestacks go off and they start playing "Blitzkrieg Bop"...she was just as invested as I was and it felt amazing to have her see us in good form, for once!

Is this a baseball stadium? It greatly reduces the visual appeal of the game. I'm from Brazil and I've watched football games all my life and the look of this field is very strange, almost bizarre. It is not up to the current MLS quality standard and definitely unsuitable for a professional football (soccer) match.

@@brando7266 Not easily. Only if they actually look good. Nobody wants to go spend a ton of money and time on days off of work to watch a bad team play. The hardcore fans will show up no matter what but the US has a culture of fair weather fans..

And I'm sure it will be a destination stop for many foreign stars, ps- the ownership has done well on the field ( won mls cup, a couple of yrs ago), the problem is that no one wants to watch a game, in a baseball stadium, once that is corrected, it will be a hot ticket,
As a new season ticket holder, I can tell you that the support is there, but like many said, Yankee Stadium is a pain in the ass to try and get to. Citi Field is much better and luckily is where our new stadium will be. @JG-MV
@@brando7266 Those are valid points but i still stick to my thought process. I mean look at red bull, they have public metro lines to their stadium, one of the best, and still cant sell out during a decent season for the past 2 years. Only 70% capacity. Same for Galaxy. Both similar demographics in terms of metro area. I do think they new stadium will do good, but selling out all the time depends on the team form.

it's been a temporary stadium since it inception. it took 10 years until NYC gave MLS a new stadium ground to work with .
