Relief Engraving Printmaking - Concept to Finished Print

This video shows the process of making a relief engraving on a Resingrave block using a photocopy transfer method. The transfer process and tools needed are explained, along with footage of engraving the block and then printing it using an etching press.
The transfer tool I used is called a “ Lenk L25TT Woodworker's Transfer Tool”

My etching press has 2 blankets on it. The top blanket is just a traditional heavy felt. The bottom blanket that rests on the block and paper is a 4ply rubber blanket. These are fantastic for getting deep and very clean impressions, for both relief block printing and letterpress projects. I bought mine here:

Scott Hildenbrand he did not. By the time Daptone got back to me a few months had passed since his death.
