I love all the advice from this video, even as a college freshman! For all u high school freshman in this comment section, keep in mind less is more and grades matter. as corny as it sounds GPA matters!!! especially for ur senior year when u start applying to scholarships ur senior year! but the playing field has been leveled, ur all on the same page now. ur high school years are gonna fly by! have fun, make as many memories as u can, don't do anything dumb, and good luck!
Wear your backpack with the straps criss crossed by throwing both straps over your head so the weight of your backpack is taken off your shoulders and more comfortable to wear

how did you start making friends and aproaching the new kids? how did you managed the anxiety on your first ever day of highchool? any tips for helping me feel comfortable when im gonna be in that position? (these are some questions that keep me up at night, hopefully you will help me!!) :))
hii! for my first ever day I just kind of eased myself into it. don’t be too hard on urself!! not everything has to be perfect and it’s totally ok if u don’t know where ur class is or stuff like that. i like to journal so maybe u could try writing out all your nerves about it and ways to be positive about them ( that’s what i did ) u can also talk to someone like ur friend bc ur def not alone with these feelings!! ❤ hope this helped + best of luck!
hi love! for me, just getting involved and even something as simple as a compliment can spark a friendship that will last a lifetime time. as for the anxiety, i don't have anything as my freshman year was COVID year and my school was a middle/high so we just went to the other side of the building. for feeling comfortable, be open minded to making new friends and letting old friends go. you're gonna change and ur friends are gonna change and that's ok. main thing is, lock in and make good grades bc that GPA is gonna matter when it comes to scholarships in ur senior year. and don't be afraid to ask for help from ur teachers if u need it! hope this helps out love and good luck!
I went to a new school too and what I did was just talk to people I randomly sit with, try to talk about what they are interested in and if you don’t know what they are talking about ask or just stay quiet and listen. Also talk to quiet ppl they will appreciate it if you walk up to them first😁
I’m in middle school (going into 8th grade) and I wanted to know, if i do extra credit (Spanish, Ap classes, ect) will that get me a better chance of being valedictorian? It’s been my dream to preform amazing at school so I wanted to know if doing these things now will help my chances when I get to high school? Also I loved this video new sub!
i threw my last years texbooks away to trash 😭😭😭 because my school has special books for tthat school only, so i cant make a use of them and they were just cluttering my space. and since i did save my mosy important notes, i figured i didnt need the books. but i feel so guilty abt it 😭😭
Guys i have a question 😅 In my country our schools start 7 through 12:20 , actually i want to know about your school in your country too , like when does it open and close or evenmore . Dont forget to say your country name 😂❤ From IRAN🇮🇷😇
Is the green thing in the background an air humidifier? It is so cute!! But stop promoting the "glow up" mentality. You do NOT need to do all that extra stuff to start the school year. You are promoting a toxic mentality. Also taking AP classes over dual credit is STUPID. Ap credit isn't guaranteed and won't always be accepted by professors. Dual credit IS guaranteed and you get college credit for it. But even then, making school harder than it needs to be is STUPID especially when it's your senior year. NO ONE CARES IF YOU TOOK AP CLASSES.
@@simplyboppingK hi! i don't think that's what the creator of this video was trying to portray. when you have a glow up, it makes you feel good and typically when you feel good it helps your performance. i know personally, when i look good, you know, hair done, nails done, brows gelled. it makes me feel put together and it gives this sense of control. the idea is that we can't control much in our lives, but we can control the way we look! which directly translates to how we feel. and how we feel to how we act, ect. the point is, the idea of the glow up is to feel like the best version of yourself, not necessarily that you're unworthy as you are. i totally get what you're saying. when people start getting all these lengthy procedures done just for school/work, that could be more toxic. thanks for reading my yap. have a blessed day.
@@mk.chellie Holy yap. Even if that's not what they are trying to do, that can be how it is portrayed.. especially to younger audiences. It's not realistic to do a "glow up" routine before every single thing you do.
OMG!! this is soo helpful. the first day is smth i have definitely have been avoiding... but ig i have to start tooo!!!

It certainly will!
I'm also entering 8th grade tommorow!
I'm going into 10th grade
The AP curve will definitely boost your report card grades a lot if you do well in those classes
I would ask your teachers because every school is different so they would probably have more knowledge on the subject!
How about a discord server to study together ❤

umm.. How is a glow up toxic? I guess some people glow up in a negative way. But a glow up is being the best version of yourself
@@lazyslayingstar it's not the glow up that's toxic, it's saying that you have to glow up to do anything before you are worthy!
