That's not the "Alpental Valley", it's Source Lake Basin and the headwaters of the south fork Snoqualmie. Alpental is the excellent ski area on adjacent Denny Ridge and Peak. The beautiful bowl you commented on from atop the Snow Lake divide is Great Scott, descending from Pineapple Pass. Grew up in the area, spending many a day up there earning turns in the 80's & 90's, when the only other people out in the backcountry were actual mountaineers. Are you familiar with the Washington Alpine Club...?
