So now im my head canon the story is: Main chanel Perun was transported into the future as a pilot cadet and is now using his superior slide skills to save earth and find a way back into his timeline.
I believe that canonically Perun’s character called an all hands meeting and forced all people under their command to attend a in-universe version of this exact PowerPoint. People having to stop working at every station to tune in, gunners on the new capital ship being rounded up to watch. Boso tuning in. Beautiful.
Yeah, that slide deck had a very all-hands vibe to it. I imagine Boso being thrust on stage next to do a deep dive into the Erlking capture and completion project after the main presentation finished, before taking a grand total of five questions from the entire organization and then calling time. And despite it matching the other channel's audio style, it was sufficiently different that it didn't really feel like it was the sort of thing we would see on that channel.
@@The_Murder_Party Only an assumption on my part, but perhaps its a pain in the arse to set the audio recording equipment for Slideshow Perun, too much for Gaming Perun to want to bother with.

10 years ago I was laughing in IT classes about learning PowerPoint and how its useless for us. Yet Perun has showed me the folly of my thinking, he has shown me the greatness of the Slides medium. I'm astonished and humbled.
Most trainings I do at work are presented as Power points. I even made a couple power points intended to train people to do my job at 1 point. Very useful.
20 minutes of PowerPoint presentation of how you'll fix the galaxy with defence economics. This is a man, who not only is great at what he does, he absolutely loves it that he puts it into BOTH his free time activities he makes videos about. I heard that there was presentation in main channel vid, so came here, and after I'm done I'm gonna binge whatever you already uploaded.
I'm not sure if the cut into your main channel's presentation style being so dramatic was fully intentional, I saw you had the sound guy help here, regardless of that - it was 100% pure gold to do it this way. Outstanding. I felt like I jumped universes in real life. Edit- Oh and to be clear, you doing your primary presentation style on scifi/fantasy universes is basically a early Christmas gift. I'd pay good money to see a full hour presentation on the logistics of supplying a Emperor-Class battleship for long term engagements, or something like that. :)
Dear sir Perun, you are perfect TH-camr for me. Firstly, you are covering military economics in very interesting and engaging way. Secondly, you are precious supplier of 1 hour long gameplay videos. Please, keep this up for us!
I love the idea of you just becoming this Space Amazon, just a monolithic Corp who supply everything and are thusly relied upon severely. Then all you have to do to harm your enemy is stop working.
Number one on the list of things I didnt know I needed in my life: PowerPoint presentation on objectives driven defense analytics within the exopolitcs of the X universe. Thank you.
So if I were to summarise Perun's goals here for a moment (in a non specific way) I would look something like this: 1. build up enough economic production and enough stations to support that production in order to singlehandedly supply a significant amount of the gate network's economic output. 2. build enough shipyards and supporting infrastructure in order to not only supply yourself with enough warships to build multiple fleets capable of holding back Xenon incursions, but also supply a significant shipbuilding capacity to the factions you like. 3. singlehandedly go to work mending diplomatic relations, build trust between nations and make it so that your vision of how the gate network should look comes to pass. 4. make a tidy profit while doing all of this. yeah, that should be pretty doable right. nothing out of the ordinary here, simply a man trying to singlehandedly rewrite the fate of potentially hundreds of billions of sapient individuals. all while prosecuting a war for the very survival of his species and the wider gate network.
I hereby submit a motion for the episode to be retitled to 'When Peruns Collide'. I came for the real world in-depth defense analyses, and apparently have stayed long enough to enjoy the fictitious sci-fi defense analysis. What a time to be alive.
I wouldn't mind if every episode started with a few slides, providing an update of the current state of the Terra Invicta conglomerate, the Terminus force composition, equipment losses and reserves, as well as short-to-medium term objectives...and maybe even a SWOT analysis here or there. ;-)
What an incredible video. @PerunGamingAU I could watch this all day.... the style switchover to your primary channel style to sketch out the objectives, the tactical situation and your plan to furfill said objectives was just so damn engaging and interesting. Then the cut back to in game playthough was just **cheffs kiss** perfect. I was intrigued when I saw you picking up X4, but this series just ramped up to 11 and is gonna gown down as one of my all time favorite youtube series if you can keep up the pace. This is rapily supplanting my previously favorite series, beaglerush's XCOM ironman impossible.
So I did the Dragonfyre mission in Timelines earlier today and there's a bit of a horrifying implication of just how bad the fight against the Terraformers actually was for Sol. In the final mission tally screen I got a slightly fully bar (a bit of orange on the end which also means that I was expected to save fewer people) for 2.1 billion people in Sol surviving. Considering this is meant to be 2099 or something and Earth's current population circa 2024 is about 7 billion it suddenly becomes shockingly clear why the Terrans now react so aggressively to attacks on Sol in general and the Xenon in particular.
Adding to this, every colony was wiped-out before that Halo style, then Earth got attacked again less than half a century ago. Although i think the first terraformer war happened around 2145? Or was it 2170? 2099 was the launch of the first terraformer fleet if i remember correctly, not sure though.
I gotta say the PowerPoint was a brilliant idea. X4 is a game with a lot of stuff going on and it's easy to get lost in it. Its usually also hard to watch but since you set up objectives for yourself and what you want to show, it makes it easy to follow.
Construction tip - you can make large terran habitat around the large terran storage (any type) saves a lot of space if you put them around those storages and also looks cool.
