Mock Test In Tottenham With Mia

Mia is doing a Mock Test in Tottenham using hand controls and additional blindspot mirrors. This is her first mock test, and in an area that she hasn’t really covered but might do her practical testing once she’s passed her theory test. This is a test route used by the examiners and conducted the same way as the actual driving test.

Yes, Rafi, get rid of the nerves and you will drive a million times better. The nerves prevent natural movement, prevents natural thinking. You wanna beat the test this time round and start driving without a chaperone. Even though we can all see that this instructor is one of the top instructor teaching on TH-cam.

I daily drive with my instructor and always he advice me to go on the middle lane for the third exit and is perfect so i stay in the middle lane indicating right after i pass the second exit a bit i indicate left

A lot of instructors teach this and the examiners do let you off if observations are effective. But, the road markings clearly show the middle lane is specifically for the A10. And right is the A406 Eastbound. I’d rather teach my clients how to drive rather than just how to pass a test.

Thank you for your comment Bevincia. If you mean when we came up to it at time stamp 6:50. The 3rd exit is straight, A10 north towards Enfield. As she was going Edmonton, the signs showed that to be right 4th exit (A406 E), therefore you should not use the middle lane as it’s not listed on the road markings.

Hmm I think I’m a little bit confused. As my instructor has taught me that in this specific round about you can also use middle to come off on the left hand side of the third exit. Furthermore, for the second exit you can also use the first lane to come off on the left which is easier than having to signal back over from the right??? Could I not do this. (Referring to the 3 major exits)

@@2littleruby you are correct that the left lane can go straight as it is road marked to go that way (A10 North). But as you can see in the video, the road markings do not list the A406 East. On a legal point, it is not illegal to be in that lane as it doesn’t state ‘Ahead only’. Due to this, the examiner can use their discretion. As long as the manoeuvre is carried out safely it’s fine. But personally, I don’t teach that way as I want my clients to plan ahead and see where they need to be rather then basing it on local knowledge.

As long as you do everything correct for the direction you go (correct mirrors, signal, lane, and safe upon exit), it won’t even be a driver fault (minor).
