    Please tell us more about your hanging shoe bag, right next to the ladder, under the tent?
    Many thanks in advance.

      Hi, we noticed these on a lot of the rtt in the USA whilst watching others videos, the bag is super handy to drop your shoes into, while you sit at the top of the ladder, so you don't need to climb the ladder without shoes, keeps your shoes off the ground and out of the elements, keeps the dirty shoes out of the tent, a win for us. We looked at some of the overseas designs and came up with a pattern that my mum sewed for us. Would be great if all tent manufacturers actually offered a shoe bag, it slides into the existing rope rail on the edge of the tent so easy to position or remove.

    This looks great, thanks for sharing!
    Do you have any data on what the trailer's impact on fuel consumption is?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, we haven't actually had a chance to accurately record yet, but car indicated 10.1km/l.

      @@fooshadventure Thanks for the reply :)
      That seems on the high side though, how does that compare to the normal usage without the trailer?

    Whats the added fuel consumption?

    Hi there, love the setup! Can one put in a fridge that pops out the back of the trailer with a sliding tray? Or what was your solution to a bulky fridge?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes you can put a fridge in the back on a sliding base. We opted to keep our fridge in our car while travelling and setup in our awning room when camped. We can always change this at a later date if we feel we want/need to.

      @@fooshadventure How do you run your fridge while driving, do you have dual battery system in the car for that over and above the battery system in the trailer?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Mandla, we use the cars battery whilst travelling and then use the trailer battery once parked. The Jimny has a 12v port at the back and the fridge is not too large and very efficient. The other option to use is a portable power pack, not always necessary to run a dual battery in a small car.

    Hi, just have a few questions:
    What is the towing capacity of the Jimny?
    Tare=..?
    GVM=..?
    What is the specs for trailer?
    Tare=..?
    GVM=..?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the regulated towing capacity of the MT Jimny Gen 4 is, un-braked 350kg, and braked is 1095kg.
      The braked Genie is T of 260kg,, and GVM 750kg.

    Hi We have a Jimny 2022-Auto and are considering the Genie and have the same RTT - looks a great combo currently used on the Jimny Roof Rack! Question : With the tent on the Genie, is it so that you can't comfortably access the kitchen once the Roof Tent is set up?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rob, the rtt opens over the "water" access side the drivers side of the trailer, then the Kitchen is fully accessible on the otherside and we deploy our awning on the kitchen side. Even the water side we can still access just need to bend over a bit, but not normally accessed as much as the kitchen. I have seen some rtt arranged so the ladder opens over the tow hitch side too, but that would depend on the nose Cone you have fitted and how you want to access it. Please shout if you have anymore questions.

      At last! We’ll be ordering our genie next week so just finalising the final spec. with Gareth (a very patient man!). Are you able to supply your awning brackets yet, we’re thinking of a small 1.4m Front tuner awning as these seem very light and simple.

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rob that is exciting news, Gareth is a great guy to deal with. We still haven't had a chance to develop the brackets further, they work for us the only issue being that it is a 2 person job to lift the awning, would be ideal if we could develop it to be a 1 person job. The concept of the mounts and the stays works, we tested this well on our last trip, it's just the lifting mechanism that needs some thought. You are welcome to email us your cell no and we can chat on watsapp. Either the frontrunner or ironman 1,4m awnings will work well, just compare specs and price 😉

    How your consumption with towing the trailer?

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, we can report back now, after the first long trip, consumption experienced was 9,53lt/100km or 10.49km/lt on average, including offroad towing in Kgalagadi National Park.

    Out of curiousity, the front runner tent, can it hold 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids? Cheers for the informative videos, great work.

    • @fooshadventure
      @fooshadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeff, definately 2 adults comfortably, it is one of the lightest rtt on the market so we think that's why it is sized just enough for 2 adults, any larger size would increase the weight.
