A good review, but a couple of points you missed: The crimp in the pliers is for crimping detonators to fuse, hence the name Charge. And there's a little hidden lanyard loop in the end of the handle on the saw side. It's pretty hard to find. The easiest way is to open up the saw blade, insert one of the screwdriver inserts in the gap towards the end, and push towards the end. A little loop will emerge. This can be accessed via a tiny lug externally, too. I've had my Charge Ti since they were released in 2004 and while mine doesn't have the replaceable wire cutters, it's still my go-to multitool. I use the little elastic sleeve on the side of the case to store a tungsten multi-sharpener, the handle of which I wrapped in thin waxed string to make it non-slip. It's the perfect companion.
I lost my Charge at work and replaced it with a Supertool 300. That took too much abuse. I snapped the smallest flathead screwdriver while prying and took a huge bite out of the wire cutter when i cut into a live wire. I just decided to replace it with the Charge Plus tti, and I'm glad I did. Reminds me how much I loved my old Charge.
The charge is so underrated and under marketed... I got the plus because I don't like the hole in the needle nose...that extra grip goes a long ways and I can crimp just fine without the hole.
Great stuff, I just purchased this tool last week and it came in Weds January 25th 2023. My pliers did not come with the round crimper on the needle nose of the pliers like yours did. That was the whole reason when I bought this model, seems they have stop making or adding the Needle Nose Crimper to the Charge TTI+ ? Great video and thanks for sharing.
I just purchased one as well at the beginning of this month and it also didn't have the crimpers. I don't mind though as I have no use for those and can crimp fairly well if needed with the pliers or cutters. I Also don't have the bronze bushings on mine, they seem to be copper. As far as I'm aware they should be bronze but someone would have to confirm that for me
Great review, fantastic tool , but now the Arc is out what do we do , actually I think I prefer the charge . Also love your watch. What make and model is it ? Please do a review on it
Guys, just spend the money on it cause i got the wave + and wish id got this charge tti.. ive traded out the scissors for the out the rebar... now if i just could find the charge blades for sell
This is a beautifully crafted bit of kit. However as something that could be lost in the field I think its a bit expensive. I have one, though keep it at home and have the Supertool 300 for using at work which kind of defeats the object I suppose. 😂
I don't think it would be that much more functional than the standard wave (which I have 3: 2 2nd gen., and one wave plus). I have a 1st gen. Charge Ti and I just bought it to be a collector. Now I am putting together a charge alx with some charge tti scales because I like the more simple 2nd gen. Wave plier head (and this I plan on carrying when I am either on the job, or around "town"). I carry a "Fuse" on the job as a mechanic and I find the lighter weight (than a wave) helps, but the "fuse" has good functionality and I just like it alot (sometimes less is more).
Every Wave-style multitool have the pinching problem (wave, charge, surge, clones made in china...) due to small distance between exterior blades when pliers are open. However it's more a risk than a real problem.
I've also heard all these tools have the pinch zone but I use mine daily and have not pinched myself but I keep my hands towards the bottom cause of the leverage... just my view

The crimper in the needle nose is not related on if it's a "plus" model or not. It's only related on if It's a TTi or not. 😉

The crimpers got moved to beneath the pliers. Just watch Leatherman’s video explaining the tool and he points it out
Thank you for doing a Width dimension check, finding a magazine pouch to fit this online is extremely hard
I use the can opener on mine more as a letter opener.

With a little bit of training, it's very easy to open a wave/charge with one hand... 😊

Helpful review, thank You!

@@kjaques1 you bye the best leatherman, and put it at home

Great video my friend 😃😃
Thank you!
Honestly just get the wave. If you need a good blade, buy a good knife
yeah but its nice to have a edc multitool that also has a premium blade so you can just carry that
Can you install the pocket clip and the lanyard at the same time?
No
Check the top comment on this video you will find a answer to that
Great review.
Thank you!
Does this Charge TTi have a problem with possible hand pinching? The wave does? Videos on TH-cam talk about this. Hmmmm?
No
@@UrbanSurvivalist_ thank you. I am thinking which one would be a good choice? No hand pinching at all.:) thank you

@Raphael G Thank you, Raphael, for your knowledge and great comments. Take care.

Hi so the only parts in titanium are the 2 lateral sides?
Yes, just the scales
