    The only timeshare I approve of is a private one that my wife's family owns in Utah, which is ran like a condo HOA. Each owner gets 2 opposite weeks a year, and unlimited RV parking, amenities access. I spent 5 hours there and was as bored as hell, but plenty of members told me how great it was to sit in a lawn chair, staring at the artificial park. We've done presentations with Westgate, Bluegreen, Wyndham, Diamond Resorts, and Grandview, all fairly slimy. I'm surprised to see hotel chains like Sheraton and Holiday Inn follow the same trend of valueless contracts!

    Don’t see how a con is legal but when you get conned and refuse to pay that is illegal.

    Very very helpful info. Thanks so much for sharing. I would rather rent one than pay tens of thousands of dollars for the “mortgage” on one AND the maintenance fees on top of that. Also, thanks for showing the websites where I can find timeshare rentals.

    I do these presentations just for the freebies. It's a nice way to travel hack for free or cheap vacations.

      I did a number of them, and got nice vacations. But, you have to deal with these sales people. As for me, NEVER AGAIN. Of course, I never bought anything. And, already went to most of the vacation spots they offer. So, NO MORE of this. But if you have no problem telling them NO, and do realize that their friendly personalities hide cruel desire to stuck you forever into these fees for some comission to them, then have fun. I have no idea how these sales people can sleep at night, knowing how they messed up usually poor, uninformed people who have a problem saying NO, as they want to be nice in return to the fake niceness they experience from the specially trained sales people.

    This was a good informative and nice production. It reminded me of a Graham Stephan video. I was surprised your other videos were different. If you created more content like this (finance, estate, deals, etc.), you can get a good following.

    I would love to go to a timeshare presentation and then at the time of sale offer them $1 to complete the sale just to see what they would do.

    • @DEEJAYGEEOOO

      You should! Take their gift and offer $1… it’s still too much to pay when you factor in the maintenance fees.

    Its time to create laws to put an end to this scams Timeshare. People should end their contract any time they want because its not even a house or a car and even if it is you can always finish the busniss

    I was caught up in this timeshare crap and none of the info provided covered all the truth I am learning after I sent my fat deposit. Papers stipulate I have 10 days to cancel but I sure hope I can get my money back with written cancel of agreement as it stipulates on contract for they didn’t even mention I could.

      Selunel Beloved thank you for sharing your experience. The good news is that you figured it out before losing thousands of dollars. Be sure to document your entire experience with the salesperson. There are things they should have done legally and if they didn’t, that’s your out in addition to the cancellation period.

    The fact that is has no resale value or doesn't appreciate is worst than maintenance fees for me after buying from a sales presentation. Even if you get your timeshare for 1 dollar, you still are behind. I booked a week and saw that I can get it cheaper than my maintenance fees online. At least I'll never buy more at those owner meetings.

    It should be illegal to force heirs to pay for timeshares, Congress needs to pass a law making that illegal, especially with all the lies they use to sell them.

      Seriously man, you think that God was interested in your timeshare? Even with all the evil stuff happening everywhere?
      Do you actually believe your ability to cancel within that five day period was an act of that God? Sorry guy your ability to cancel was simply a law instituted by average people. No divinity involved.

    After they scammed people, what can be done legally to get your money back? Scammers just talk about how they scammed INNOCENT people and nothing has been done to make the scammers be accountable for their actions. Why can't the mayor or governor of the state or whoever the high ranking where the scamming has occurred close this illegal business? Thanks

    Do you need an attorney to cancel a time share purchase the very next day if it says in the contract you have up to seven days to cancel?

    • @DEEJAYGEEOOO
      @DEEJAYGEEOOO  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question,
      *Be sure to look over the cancellation clause carefully and follow the directions precisely.
      I would think if it says you have the right to cancel within 7 days following the purchase and you're within that time period you should be able to call them, or visit their office you purchased the Timeshare from to cancel your commitment.
      I would ask to speak with the salesperson that sold you your timeshare or the person in charge and explain to them that you would like to cancel your timeshare commitment. If I where you I would put it in writing, make two copies, one for you and one for the Timeshare company. Be sure to date and sign both copies of the letter. Take note of who you served the letter to, the time and location. You could have an attorney do it but it will most definitely cost you money to do. However, this could be the best and safest way to do it
      Again,
      *Be sure to look over the cancellation clause carefully and follow the directions precisely.
      Act as soon as you possibly can!!
      *This is not legal advise! All legal advise must be provided by a licensed attorney in the state in which you purchased your timeshare from.
      All the best!

      @manhattanassetgroupllc7409 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      best thing to do is just call the resort and send a copy of the cancelation letter they have to put in your paperwork, no need for a lawyer as long as the letter is postmarked within the 7 days, they legally have to let you out. Keep in mind different states have different laws, it can be 5-10 days depending on where.

      Most folks are paying ridiculous prices that make no sense at all. Typically, you can rent a week at most of these timeshare resorts for the same price you would pay for yearly maintenence, if not less.
