I don't know what impressed me more. The project, the video editing or the soundtrack! I guess it's true. The sum of the parts is greater than the whole. Great video. I was searching for ideas. Thanks
You have this TH-cam thing figured out!! Even if I'm not planning on building your project, I still watch every one. Love your videos. Thanks for the awesome ideas.
Jay, this totally rocks. I saw Beach Bum's video last year but bever got around to building one. Love what you did with the basket weave look... you knocked this one out of the park!
That IS a great design and would make a cool gift as well. Nice work with the music!! We do appreciate the extra time it takes to go the extra editing mile.
Nice build Jay. I love what you did with the wavy board siding. I bought 5 coolers on sale and I have built one stand already. four more to go. Building mine out of pallet wood.
Really like the effect of waves and I saw Beach Bum Living use this in his most recent video as well. I've also in a chair covered in the same effect and it did not affect the comfort at all.
I know this is an older video and I did watch it quite sometime ago but watching it again I really like the way came out great job man I love the contoured wood pieces
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for awhile but have not checked this particular video out until now. This one is so old it doesn’t even have your cabinet in it and you’re using Ryobi tools! What a difference to now lol
Cool video Jay, I watch beech bum living also, great channel as well. I am going to start incorporating some woodwork into the metal work I do on my channel, so your videos have been great to learn from!
I've not seen the plan designers version, but I really like the wavey trim. Also, I don't use standard faucet spickets anymore. I use boiler spickets. They're a quarter turn full open full close.
I've noticed it in your videos before but never said it, the music syncing with the video is amazing! Keep up the good work, both with the wood and videos. You always have great projects.
I dig it, I have an old cooler that the hinges broke on, think I found a use for it. May modify it to be the ultimate tailgate cooler, cooler on top, tailgate supplies on bottom.
Really cool design! I think I might give this one a try but change the lid design so that it is flush with the top of the box. Loving all the vids on your channel, man. Keep it up!
i am ready to stain mine tomorrow. the weave pattern is time consuming but well worth it. i used a pin nailer with the glue to speed things up a bit. great project. thanks.
I know what u mean about wantimg to keep the stuff u make for others.lol turned nice! Also i Cant get enough of the woodworking and beats sync. Love it!! Love th t band saw man!
Excellent work. Nice touch with the wicker basket-type woodwork on the sides of the cooler box. A little too labor intensive for me, personally. But great work just the same.
Nice, dude. I've wanted to make one of these for a while. One nitpick, because it wouldn't be the internet without one of those :) Primer isn't necessarily needed because the drain isn't under pressure. You won't have any failure of the joints or leakage without it. Not to say it isn't good practice, but if someone was lacking a jar of primer, it wouldn't stop them from making the project. Again, kudos, and I hope to make one of these this winter.
Jay, very nice job like the extra touch of the textured side walls. I wonder why not one of these builds has taken the extra step of adding some extra styrofoam insulation between the framing?? I think especially in the lid as the sun beats down it would help keep the beer colder longer. LOL
how do you like the rigid cordless nailer, I was looking at one for my Christmas wish list, have other rigid cordless tools , and thought it would be a nice addition
Look great. I loved the wave look.
very kool
I'm with April, that wave looks awesome!
Espero q no te des porvensida
I don't know what impressed me more. The project, the video editing or the soundtrack! I guess it's true. The sum of the parts is greater than the whole. Great video. I was searching for ideas. Thanks

Cool cooler!
Very cool Jay, I'm sure the recipient of the gift will be happy as can be. That stuff takes a while to dry huh, lol.
Jay, this totally rocks. I saw Beach Bum's video last year but bever got around to building one. Love what you did with the basket weave look... you knocked this one out of the park!
That's really cool. I never get tired of your music syncing, it's unique to you. I know it's a lot of work.
That came out really great. I like the band saw work.
What a COOL project!! Love the outcome and the faux basket weave illusion!! Great job!
I love that weave finish you did. Great job!
Great job Jay Bates. I especially liked the way you created the basket weave look. Merry Christmas

Cool project! I like the wave design on the sides.
Great job. love the basket weave effect.
Badass woven effect with the curves cut in the 2x material on the bandsaw. I thought, hell yeah you can do that with a band saw!
I really like how you matched the wood working to the music! Also great cooler!
I love how you edited so all your motions followed the song!

love the production value! always enjoyable to watch your vids!
Looks fantastic!! White washing the pine might look more summery?
Nice job. You may have borrowed the design, but you did a nice job making it your own. I'd have trouble parting with it too.
Just saw the cooler featured on The Family Handyman. A lot of people were looking for plans so I shared a link to your video.
Phil DeKruyf Thank you :)
Outstanding job! Amazing editing too!!! Minwax has a fairly new stain that's really nice called Gunstock, ever try it? Thanks for sharing!

Nice, dude. I've wanted to make one of these for a while.
One nitpick, because it wouldn't be the internet without one of those :)

Again, kudos, and I hope to make one of these this winter.

The sound is awesome. What is that?
Jay, very nice job like the extra touch of the textured side walls. I wonder why not one of these builds has taken the extra step of adding some extra styrofoam insulation between the framing?? I think especially in the lid as the sun beats down it would help keep the beer colder longer. LOL
I've wanted to make one of these for awhile, this turned out awesome
I thought this looked familiar. I like to see how different people approach the same project. Did you coat it with a spar urethane at the end?
Mr. Bates sir, can you tell me the specific finish you used please. It looks fantastic. Thanks if you get time.
mrjllj68 Minwax Early American stain with Sparurethane on top.
how do you like the rigid cordless nailer, I was looking at one for my Christmas wish list, have other rigid cordless tools , and thought it would be a nice addition
nice idea with those "sidings". love the effect :-)
Very nice!
Whos music playing??
That tool at 2:11, I've never seen that before. What is that, and what does it do?
Pretty sure its the Kreg Foreman Pocket-Hole Machine
