I left KZN South Coast in 2000 and moved to Cape Town for work purposes. I still visit the South Coast , my last visit was in Aug 2020. I must say I made the best decision in my life. I had to go to my sisters funeral and where there was once a tarred road, there wasn't even a road any more.
This is how you get things done. Reminds me of communities that came together and build schools and community centre's many moons ago. This has thus resulted in huge success in those particular communities. Nothing beats hard work and commitment. 👍
So what does the government do? Ignore all calls. Those responsible are being paid to do what?? If the community has the initiative to solve problems government has to pay. That's what the tax is for. Congratulations for being such responsible citizens. I pray this bridge withstands the test of time. God bless you.
What a slap in the face of cadre deployment and racist BEE hiring policies in the Municipality. Imagine if we had people like this who care and have the intelligence, organizational skills working in the Municipality instead of those ones who photocopied their bums as their application.
A flashback of the road taken by a few thousand indentured labourers back in the 1860s when they were transported across the sea to cut sugar cane but, through sheer dint of hard work, have assimilated the wherewithal to do everything for themselves and others because they simply have what it takes!
So what happened to all the pledged funds? If ppl do this themselves these thieves will find the best advantage to chow all the money intended for that
This how black need yo start bring self sufficient and help themselves look at what Patroitic party is doing lots without government funds it can be done People can fo it black people can start
Awesome effort and dedication to the benefit of all who use the route.
What a relief that this road is reopened!
So long as we are an ANC led country, we as citizens doing for ourselves will be the law of the land. Well done to Mr Richards
Well done and thank you so so much. Really appreciate the work and effort from you all.

Well done Richard we salute you and community.
Government should be embarrassed and shame on them the useless bunch taking advantage state money to do nothing. Very proud of the community.
