    Man this makes me miss my build... Need to get back on that for sure. The last fight I got into that stumped me was the Heater Core/climate box. Had to get a special exhaust manifold to move the turbo around 🤣.

      Yeah it’s definitely tight back there! I ended up just deleting my rear heater

      @@Austin_SaintOnge I saw you're in the PNW, Same here, probably not terribly far either. I'd love to pick your brain and BS about our builds man.

    Awesome progress, looking forward to the next one. What you are doing is what I plan to do in the near future. Looks overwhelming, I need to start putting a plan together. Cheers from Vancouver BC.

      Thanks bud! To say it’s been overwhelming is an understatement. I’ts been financially taxing and the sheer amount of hours is nothing short of exhausting. However it’ll be that much more rewarding once I get it up and running

      @@Austin_SaintOnge I completely understand where you're coming from. I am rebuilding an HJ60 from the frame up. Then I decided to get an 80 in the middle of the 60 rebuild (that project halted quick), one that hit a tree, so now I'm rebuilding the front (front frame clip swap, inner aprons, rad support, all the bits and pieces). Is it a passion or a sickness that I have, I don't know anymore, but like you mentioned, it will be very rewarding and all worth it in the end.

      @@tkclips506 that’s sick man! About 10 years ago I bought an fj62 when I was in Colorado for $750. It was having starting issues and I didn’t know how to wrench back then so I ended up selling it for $1k. The few number hours that I had driven it were enough for me to be hooked and have been looking for another land cruiser since. Luckily found Tonya about 2 years ago and I’ve gone a little crazy with her 🤪

      @@Austin_SaintOnge I'm enjoying the progress, she's a beast. Fj62 for $750, good old days.

    I am pretty much convinced on getting an 80 and doing the same here in aus

      Nice! Yeah there seems to be quite a
      bit of support for the 6bt in Australia. There’s a few swap kits or at least parts I’ve seen. Seems like a very rewarding swap getting a 6 liter beast - mines capable technically of 500whp and over 1000 ft lbs of torque 🤠

      @@Austin_SaintOnge any clue on front to rear bias?

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheShooter466 it’s gonna be substantial especially since I’ve got an arb with 12k winch. I have 6 inch coils with 30mm spacers up front. Rear has 6 inch coils and I really just don’t have that much gear in the back. I’m probably going to go with 4 inch coils for the rear to even it out. I’ll keep you updated!

      The difference for me was only 300lbs. I went from 5800 to 6100 lbs for my swap.
