- Simply beautiful in performance and arrangement. This is one of my favourite Françoise Hardy recordings. Released on the 1964 EP, "En Anglais". English version of "J'aurais Voulu". With the Bob Leaper Orchestra. Written by Françoise Hardy, Roger Gustave Samyn and Marcel Stellman.

By the way she was smiling, with her eyes so beguiling
I could tell at a glance that I hadn't a chance
She is almost too lovely but I wish it were me
Then I know you'd only want to be looking my way
It's a strange fascination to be faced with temptation
Should you answer her call, are you going to fall?
She is almost too lovely but I wish it were me
Then I know you'd only want to be falling for me
What would I do, were I in her place?
When love is new, it's so hard to face
Is her love so much stronger that you want me no longer
Has she taken my place with her sweet angel face
She is almost too lovely, still I wish it were me
Then you might know how it feels when you're trying to hide
All of the pain that you made my heart suffer inside
I simply cannot fathom how anyone could ever purposely break dear Françoise's heart, let alone find any pleasure in doing so. I swear that I've been in love with her since before I was born.
😢Rest in peace.

I love this as much as 'All over the world', beautiful performance!!
I agree with you, I never thought I would like another song as much as All over The World. I have asked for that tune on a TV programme called Memory Lane so many times and got nowhere, its has she is a almost forgotten singer of the 60s in the UK.
My favorite Francois Hardy song of all time. Heard it first in 1970's and still sounds as good today.

This song makes me remember someone - who no longer remembers me..
Australia
I hope they do..
Such beauty
Love her sweet french accent. Getting lost in dreaming... What an awsome beautiful and sensitive woman. So soft, so simple,..
Bellissima
The lyrics are fantastic fiction, of course. Who would leve Françoise Hardy for any other woman?
Listening to Francois I just can't imagine any man falling for anymore else. What a voice what grace what emotion it's really to much to bear. Best listen to the song again and start dreaming all over again
좋은음악 잘 들었습니다~감사합니다~🎵🌿🍀☘🌹🌹☘🍀🌿❤❤
Great. I played this record in the sixties so many times a day. Thanks. Francoise is beautiful in any language.
Thank you so much for posting this. Francoise is one of my three favorite female singers. A voice as beautiful as her appearance.
You're welcome!
who are the other two
Magnifique et également en français !
Fell in love with her in 1965 whilst serving with UN Forces in Cyprus
One of my favorite songs; I like French version even better. I am amazed that her songs get so few hits on youtube. I wonder why Latin music is so popular in U.S. and so few Americans like the best French singers.
magic again
Bien en anglais aussi ❤❤❤❤
Sensational how it all comes together. Remember this but had forgotten. So lovely to hear again. Truly a song for the Members of the Deep Music Appreciation Club.
Super
Bellissima canzone evergreen
Version chantée en anglais de "j'aurais voulu être elle". ❤❤❤❤
Bellissima canzone.Esuste anche in italiano ed in francese
Forget todays pretenders she's the queen
Love the song,a beautiful girl nice voice.
Lovely Voice !!
I love her so much. Such a great person. Lovely song amazing voice.
You know why this song got no dislikes
Versione inglese di j'aurai volu. Avrei voluto in italiano
@VealParmigiana in the U.S. their "second language" is spanish
@NanoFSITurbo and for some reason, I think I like the Italian version better than the French one, in a rare instance. You should check it out if you haven't already.
CAN we find it on Spotify?
Some of her stuff but not this particular song sadly
Kellemes hallgatni ezt a dalt. Lehet, hogy a francia nyelvű változata még kellemesebb?
Nem könnyű eldönteni.
Milyen nyelvű a dal eredeti szövege?
@VealParmigiana that's what I am saying! 2k+ views, really? Well it doesn't matter, I'm sure she's appreciated elsewhere! Mais tu as raison, c'est mille fois mieux en francais.
Americans don't think like the French. They can't get it. They miss out on that entire emotional vibe.
