Nice. The problem I have with buying McIntosh is its either all or nothing - mix and matching other components with MAC would send my OCD into the stratosphere.
McIntosh (like Rega, Bryston, and many more) brand is a SYSTEM.....the various "pieces" in the specific brand are designed to fit together (think 1+1 +1+1 = 1,111; not 4). When you get into any brands like these, you start with the amplification/pre-amplification and speakers. From there, one piece at a time, you build the system with brand-loyal components to get a matched, top-notch system in the end that fits together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Sounds like the newer SF Tradition series has a brighter top end compared to previous generations. Even on youtube videos it is discernible.

Is it wise to put a turntable so close to the speakers?
I never locate a table between the speakers. I use long interconnect .
