Great video of some good-looking tools. At 15:50 the best hobby knife I have found is the Olfa. They are in Japan and the quality of their blades is top-notch, scary sharp.
The mini clamp has a spring Inside so you can use it to hold parts on inside by squeezing it together and placing pins inside fuelsalage etc and it will press outwards holding onto the item
It doesn't really matter how you say DSPIAE because it is an acronym for Dream ,Strive , Perfection, Innovation, Advanced, Excellent. I have used them for a couple years now and have never been disappointed. The little knife blade box has two sides so you can safely put your old blades in a secure location til you have used up all the blades and then dispose of them in the container.
Hi came across your channel while looking for hobby tools for modelers and hobbyest. I don't think I have ever heard of this company before, but looks like they have great tools for hobbyest and modelrs alike. I will be checking out their site cause I wouls like to get a few of the tools you showed in this video. Deffently would like one of the hobby knives as well as the scale ruler. So thanks for making videos like this showing tools that may help hobbyest out. Just went and subscribed to you channel as I would like to check out the type of projects you work on.
I've never used the Dspiae chisel before but I do have several from Trumpeter in different shapes and sizes. They are great for removing material like on cockpits to replace the detail w/ PE or 3D printed decals. They also are great for removing raised ejector pins. Its a tool not used often but when you need it no other tool does it better.
Thanks for sharing. I've recently seen these products at a convention I attended in NC. Very very nice products. Looking forward to having a few on my bench.
Very cool, Paul. I'll have to take a look at the links. Can always use new tools when helping people figure things out for leather/laser. Have a great week.
I've recently learned about Dspiae. I bought some of their paint test cards. I have to at least have 20 colors in it already to keep track of which color looks best over which primer.
Can that precision knife accept bigger blades? Like regular xacto sized? I was going to get the aluminum knife but I kept having nightmares of it rolling into my lap. That's why I think that other knife uses plastic for the triangle grip. Metal always looks and feels nicer but I was afraid of myself, haha.
Pretty sure the blade box has two sides so that you can have new blades on one side and old blades in the other rather than throwing them in the trash. A lot of work knife blade dispensers have something similar.
Hi Paul, Are you sure that mini vice is a DSPIAE one?... Looked on their web site and theirs does not have a red knob and has a different top with a cut out on it, and no holes for the little pins.... Also theirs is laser engraved 'DSPIAE'.. I didn't see that on the one you got..
I know the compass draws the circle. The protractor is used for the angles. I don't know what the A3, B2, etc, is for. Is that because I didn't go on to "Trig" after Algebra and Geometry? Anyone who understands this and reads it can respond. Have fun with your tools and toys!

Olfa blades and Tamiya's hobby knife pro. I'll never buy another blade. PERIOD
Despite, those tools are sweet
I love your boot show rods
I have several Dspiae products and like them. Try Dspiae's sanding products, you'll like them also
DSPIAE has innovated the hobby by imagining new categories of tools. Their circle cutter and rotary tool are indispensable.

Man, it just keeps getting better!

For modeling, metric is definitely the way to go.
DSPIAE is a solid company for modeling tools i have been using their tools exclusively since 2021
There's a reason the best Gunpla modelers love Dspiae.

Damn right. Metric is king counting from 1-10 instead of whatever .rd .nd or even 20th.
