Any other show would have just cut out after the watch reveal, and it would have been a perfectly serviceable gag. But that's not enough for Community.
That's the Dan Harmon trademark I'm noticing, the use of absurd - many times larger than life - imagery/ideas that are grounded in real human and relatable issues and problems.
They're honestly completely interchangeable. You can really see the (how much exactly did I smoke when I wrote this) writing here that is in both shows. 😂
The season finale stinger before the credits was a commercial for Community being a board game and the family playing the board game realizing they’re in a commercial and the disclaimer guy having an existential crisis … and I still think THIS was the weirdest stinger before the end credits of an episode of Community season 6.
Met Mr. Besser and his wife today. Super nice people. I mentioned that this was my favorite Community ending of all time and he said I was the second person to mention it to him that day! His body of work is just wonderful. Had to look up this clip since I hadn't seen it in close to a decade, but it's always stuck with me...
what if this was the movie? the group eventually delivers the giant hand and jeff finds his parents who have been looking for him all this time. jeff was the kid on the kite.
Me watching this the first time: "Haha, that's hilarious... he wants the giant hand for his giant watch. "Wait... what's going on? "Oh... oh god... "Oh. My. God."
"He's waiting for a better daddy with a bigger hand!" This made me cry and laugh uncontrollably. That has to be one of the saddest and funniest things I've heard in a long time.
The man obsessed with giant objects lives at the end of a giant drive way
the giant watch alone is pretty hilarious but it just keeps going on lmao

“We live at the end of a long driveway which often gets confused for a road” why is this so funny to me?
its such such a mundane fact that shouldn't warrant any screen time, and yet it does.
GIant driveway too? Hahahaha I just got it
without any context of the show, this would be an amazing college student short film
Is that a good or bad thing?
This is my favorite ending of a community ever.
I love the Koogler movie trailer.
Imo they got gradually better and peaked on the last episode.
I have never laughed so hard while crying just as hard. This could win awards at a film festival.
This got really dark 😂
I feel like this conversation could just as easily have been Jerry and Beth from Rick & Morty.
+Josi Weston Holy shit, you're 100% right.

Genius!

The infinite nature of the multiverse means that this has happened to Jerry, Beth and Morty in some dimension

Best Community ending. EVER.
Id say close 2nd after the finale. But that's just splitting hairs really

Jeff and them look the same age and Jeff knew his mom, just doesn't know his dad.
Jeff met his dad in season 4 for thanksgiving with Britta when Troy, Pierce and Annie went to Shirley's Home.
@@rodrigobarra6952 Are we including the gas leak year?
Whoa... You just wrinkled my brain!
I wonder if this guy is going to buy John Oliver's giant hand.
You mean Professor Duncan.
This is fucking genius
i love this kind of joke because i feel like an absolute fucking monster for laughing so hard at it
"...because I gave him a giant (what)?" 1:30
Gwynbleidd kite
Gwynbleidd giant kite. He bought him a giant kite that took him into the air forever
I thought this would be a little less funny today, but I still find it amusing.
Genuine Wasp Factory vibes

Matt Besser is a god
I just watched the episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine he was in and I knew I recognized him from somewhere.
I didnt realize this is bessers wife ive only heard her on his podcast!
It’s so hard to feel sad for this scene I mean it’s is definitely sad but the reasoning is hilarious
this got dark af quick lol.
This is basically Rick and Morty premise
