If you look real close at around 5:04 you can see the engineer move on its own. The buildings in the back that we can see through gaps in the menu don't move but engineer moves to the left anyways. Try setting it to 0.25x speed if you're having trouble seeing it.
1:33 a small detail i noticed here, did anyone see how Scout's arm didn't completely drop down when Badwater let go of him? usually when a ragdoll has an unfrozen part, it drops down immediately and would swing slightly when let go, regardless of if the hardware models are being used or not. Scout's arm doesn't do that, but instead it awkwardly stays at his waist as if he's nervous. interesting.

3:42 You can tell that badwater is pissed that the RED scout escaped by how he applies the no-collide tool to the engineer and the props. (Just my thoughts :P )
Also "Make sure you use the saws" there are a number of wheels you can use to achieve the same effect, but Badwater chooses sawblades, perhaps to hurt and torture the Ragdolls for attempts of escape or something
I think you disable the collisions on the prop you want to use (C/Hover your mouse over the prop/disable collisions) Then find the inflator tool and weld it onto the ragdoll's head (i'm not sure about this.) Then go to paint/ and find either eyes or any decal you want to use
@@sinctova the one on the radio is likely a saviour of some kind; seeing as how Scout was the only one to not be deleted (and because killed/deleted characters don't really come back) it most likely saved him and tried communicating with him; to try and make him hide somewhere in the map (as when the numbers are translated, it says "You must hide" and then "Run") but he unfortunately got stuck in the rooms that Badwater goes through and most likely has no power there

Is nobody going to mention how Gunslinger loved the engineer class (particularly the RED one), and would humiliate/torture the blue spy the most, and now Badwater mentions his favourite class is the spy and always has an engineer either disfigured as Teethgineer or cowardly needing help? If you look real close at around 5:04 you can see the engineer move on its own. The buildings in the back that we can see through gaps in the menu don't move but engineer moves to the left anyways. Try setting it to 0.25x speed if you're having trouble seeing it.
I saw it
Same i saw it
1:33 a small detail i noticed here, did anyone see how Scout's arm didn't completely drop down when Badwater let go of him? usually when a ragdoll has an unfrozen part, it drops down immediately and would swing slightly when let go, regardless of if the hardware models are being used or not. Scout's arm doesn't do that, but instead it awkwardly stays at his waist as if he's nervous. interesting.
Oo I didn’t notice that, pretty cool detail
Sometimes ragdolls in gmod break thier arms and just make thier arms or other limbs broken so it may of been a bug or not idk
Pretty sure that's not what it's supposed to be, I have tried this on a regular scout ragdoll and it pretty much did the same
This is a simple GMod model error happens all the time to me.
Scout's ragdoll is just like that.
This is a great tutorial! Maybe we can get a more advanced tutorial on how you managed to animate melonman's punching when he fought the teethineer? It looked really smooth.
i bet he cant answer that one
@@bruhford3954 He don't want to answer this one
bruh stop asking him to answer the arg's question and ruin everything

I NEED a mod that allows for inter-map travel like that! I know it's probably impossible without it being one map but it would be so cool!
Maybe one map that could have other maps added and it use a system of portals similar to ones provided by "doors".
If only it were possible in source or source 2...
in source 2 it's definitely possible
maps can have infinite length so you can link them together
Not impossible there non euclid mod you can use just create door and put gm in white room and try create copy

Its really cool that “Sanctuary” is just this video from the scouts perspective, kinda a cool tie between them!
3:42 You can tell that badwater is pissed that the RED scout escaped by how he applies the no-collide tool to the engineer and the props. (Just my thoughts :P )
No i see what you mean. It's like he's going, "THIS. GOES HERE! THIS! HERE! THIS HERE!"
"Oh boy, this is a great tutorial! i should see what else he uploads..."
*oh god oh frick*
Oh fuck
Definitely will be using this soon, great tutorial!
Love how he doesn't even hide the fact that the ragdalls move on their own
What a great tutorial! And yeah, I hate it when my actors wander off, but welding them to the ground was proven helpful! You earned a sub!!
Besides the horror element this just has so much charm I love it
some of this is actually quite helpful despite the arg stuff
Okay, that reference to Passage, that was actually cool, didn't expect it to be an actual gateway
I love how even badwater is angry at wheels
Oh my god the video audio, quality, and aspect ratio are so fucking nostalgic. ABSOLUTELY nailed the 2000's feeling.
That's Epic My Guy!
I'm Gonna Use These Tips For My Gmod Machinimas!
one question still remains where did the scout go? 3:27
The man's even capitalizing the first letter of every word, props to you for the authentic 2009 experience!
Thank you for this helpful, completely normal and non-terrifying tutorial.
2:50 you can see scout moving his head
Idk, maybe? I think I do see an little bit of movement but I’m not sure
Also "Make sure you use the saws" there are a number of wheels you can use to achieve the same effect, but Badwater chooses sawblades, perhaps to hurt and torture the Ragdolls for attempts of escape or something
5:13 I noticed that the Engineer when he moves, he goes inside the building and the animator grabs him so that he does not escape
Note how the red scout has already managed to wander off into the dark room and escape Badwater by now.
Hey, how did you do that door thing? To get into maps I just usually use the map loader
i think its a addon
Yeah, must be a mod to increase immersion. I want that.
It is an nice cut, and part of the ongoing arg lore.
@@RubberRoom3 He was asking as a part of the ARG.
@@RubberRoom3 I know, im just playing along for fun
i like how this both adds to the lore and also makes a actually good gmod animation tutorial
honestly, every arg has creepiness, and an actually good tutorial
Wow, what an interesting and useful tutorial! I'm so glad nothing creepy or out of character happened!
man the 144p quality , it just beautiful . it makes me remember the old days
That fit of rage as he moved the sawblades lmao
i only just started watching and i’m already blown away, how do you do it so well?

Sentient ragdolls

@@MoOocus Sorry, I'm just confused as to how he makes the moving machine seem so real! Very advanced!
@@phoenixadverdale with the ragdoll walker
Neat, can you do a tutorial on how to make melonman type characters?
I think you disable the collisions on the prop you want to use (C/Hover your mouse over the prop/disable collisions)
Then find the inflator tool and weld it onto the ragdoll's head (i'm not sure about this.) Then go to paint/ and find either eyes or any decal you want to use
@@v3l50 you mean the no collide tool?
It looks like our Red Scout was somehow recaptured by the player, only to then escape again.
I wonder what happened?
Seems like the door to "freedom" was a trap the whole tome
So who was the guy on the radio in Passage? Was he another NPC?
@@sinctova the one on the radio is likely a saviour of some kind; seeing as how Scout was the only one to not be deleted (and because killed/deleted characters don't really come back) it most likely saved him and tried communicating with him; to try and make him hide somewhere in the map (as when the numbers are translated, it says "You must hide" and then "Run") but he unfortunately got stuck in the rooms that Badwater goes through and most likely has no power there
Ur the hugest machinima maker I have seen yet
The way that Badwater is so well spoken compared to what most youtubers in 2009 would talk like really adds to the overall eerie vibes his videos give off
That and the whole ragdolls being sentient thing
WOOOOO YEAH BABY THATS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT
@Josiah Oliver what do you mean pretend it’s august 8th 2009 I just got excited cause I can learn how bad water makes his awsome machinimas!
this is such a neat tutorial!!
What a very helpful tutorial, gmod can be so overwhelming at times.
3:30 scout literally runned for his life lol
"Wow, Scout escaped through a white void thing, I hope that means he's safe!"
_Badwater casually goes through the white space_
"oh no"
Hey so apparently. A little indie game called Minecraft came out May this year! Its got blocks and a lot of creative tools and stuff!
Maybe it can also be used for cool Videos someday when more content comes out!
But it hasnt been out long, so its pretty bare bones at the moment.
I can not wait to try out Minecraft. It seems like its a very promising game.

Very... informative for... 2021-- I- I mean... That's very great education video in 2010, never could imagine how to make garry's mod videos just as myself! Thanks!!!!
I love how when he moved the saw blades it actually looked like he messed it up
Thanks for the tutorial! Been looking for a reliable one, glad you uploaded this
BTW, any news on melon man?
A FAILURE.
2:03 I REALLY wanted scout's head to just SNAP to the player and stare
Amazing tutorial! I have been trying to figure out running for a long time, so thanks! But I have one question, how do you make or use that door that goes between maps? I think it’s really cool and I want to use it as well!
I can only imagine the g-mod skits I could make with that door! Near endless possibilities!
I think it's an addon.
Some Skits with G-man seem like that door'd be Very helpful
I like how BadwaterVideos explains how he gets the same ragdolls from one game to the next using a gman-door like technique, instead of just leaving the viewers to guess
honestly the transition from Badwater to Offblast was the smoothest possible transition I've ever seen
The part where you accidently moved the wheels was so funny that I actually spat out my water I was drinking and it went all over my PC ( I mean this part here, 4:20 )
5:13 engie trying to escape but player drags him back
5:46 the running animation is too good, meaning the engie really tried to run away but got stuck bc of the sofa
Hmm, I guess scout already knew how to make a ragdoll walker, smart!
I like how he acknowledges that the characters are sentient and doesn't try to hide it anymore
Man ,do I love to have a look back at your old videos Badwater, you inspire me way more than the other channels do :)
I know you cannot react to these, but honestly dude, your channel is amazing and I'm so glad it exists. You're an amazing creator and a great storyteller.
Melon-Man hoodie when? xd
MELON
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've been wanting to get into Gmod animation for a while now. The tutorial was not too complex and doesn't too much technical know-how.
I also love that effect with the doorway between maps, I've never seen editing like that, would you ever consider giving us a tutorial on how to do something like that? If you're not too busy that is, I know the Melonman series has been taking up a lot of your time.
Badwatervideos2009 got some deep lore now
Dude, your videos are so amazing. You make these videos look like that they are actually from 2009, and you are so God damn amazing with it. You are even using GMOD 11 to make it look like it's from there. I remember when GMOD was free...
the fact the badwater went into the dark rooms to find scout, and engie trying to go there as well tells me that the "scary ghost man in dark" arg is probably in here as well
it's amazing how well you've adapted to the sudden growth in popularity, most would buckle under the pressure!
Everybody gangsta till badwater enters the gman door
I just realized how scary this is. “No collide the soul, and weld the body to the canister, and the legs to the saw blades.”
I just love how there's so much in terms of callbacks to other args in this one video
Yeah, For someone who doesn’t know gunslinger, he sure seems to like like red engineer.
I like the fact that i don't play GMOD and thought that the white void is normal
Can we have a tutorial on how you make your other none standard characters?
Oh God.
Thanks man. I was looking for this, appreciated
Is nobody going to mention how Gunslinger loved the engineer class (particularly the RED one), and would humiliate/torture the blue spy the most, and now Badwater mentions his favourite class is the spy and always has an engineer either disfigured as Teethgineer or cowardly needing help? Gunslinger’s favouritism allowed the red engineer the most ‘free will’ in his videos. I wonder what the spy is doing in Badwater’s game…
this is the best gmod tutorial that doesnt require hours of stop motion
Honestly, seeing Scout becoming a ragdoll again came with a horrifying realisation...
*He couldn't escape.*
