Ado's cover of this song is amazing. you should still react to the original version by sheenra ringo, its just as good imo(both are great in different ways). I recommend this version if you decide to check it("椎名林檎 - 罪と罰 from百鬼夜行") and for more ado's reaction, maybe her aishite aishite aishite cover. or her songs "show" and "tot musica" if you didnt check those already
Ringo is actually Ado's idol. Some of Ado's skill set is similar to how Ringo Shiina sings - which is high order as Ringo is consider one of the top Japanese (and well know in Asia) singer with a versatile performer for last 20 years. (Rock, Alt rock to blues... Ringo Shiina did it all.) As for the song: it's pretty much a homage song that Ringo wrote for music artist and style from 50 to 70's You can hear all the style in her original song... but ADO just make it to be a love and passion song for all musical artists.
That final chorus is my favorite part of the song, aside from the scream at the end of the second verse. The desperation that builds in her voice, the audible gaspy inhales, and the way to instrumental music "falls apart" underneath it all just perfectly captures the mood so well. You really feel the raw anger and desperation in that part.
Good call on the Sax comparison at the start of vid, never made that connection. Cant unhear now :) Good content guys . Ado is a real rabbit hole. Enjoy hear more for the 1st time
Sheena Ringo founded the band Tokyo Jihen in 2003/4 and was lead singer. Miku of Band-maid was influenced by her and wanted play "cool music" like her after leaving the idol group Lil' Cumin.
This is a cover of the legendary Sheena Ringo's original from 2000. I recommend a raction of the original as I find it better than Ado's cover. Not that Ado doesn't do an excellent version of it. I think you will like the song Missing
Dude on the right just wants to listen and left dude will not stop talking😭 i think u guys need to try just listening to the song and actually feeling it first then listen again and pick it apart.
Just throw in a bit of a different choice: "Gira Gira" is an original by Ado (with subtitles, too) that really doesn't get the attention O think it deserves. Her combining a sad but uplifting theme with a really tasty bassline and more of her vocal show-off-ness makes for a fun ride, imo. (just learned you guys prefer getting links: th-cam.com/video/sOiMD45QGLs/w-d-xo.html )
I like Ado's version she puts a lot of grit into it with her vocals and the instrumentals but my favorite will always be from Aina The end from BiSH her voice in itself is incredible also
hello! I am well aware that you most likely won't come across this comment, but i wanted to recommend something for you to react to. Considering you've been going down the japanese music rabbit hole, i think it'd be nice if you covered one of the most influential genres, and the one of the bands that is most popular for it. Visual kei is a genre in japan, and one of the major bands was 'Malice Mizer'. I think it'll be really interesting for you to cover, since everything from their music to their visuals is extremely interesting. They had several vocalists over the years, but the Gackt era was the most important ones. I'd recommend you start with songs like 'Bel Air', 'Le Ciel', 'Gekka No Yasoukyoku', 'Au Revoir' or 'Aegean'. I think it'll be something very interesting for you to analyze, since they don't get much recognition nowadays. Hoping to see your input on them soon!! (i apologize if my english is not the best)
There are no subtitles for a reason. This is the song of a woman whose husband left her, and she, with a cigarette in her hand, goes to the bridge to throw herself from there into the water.
try do a reaction for Ado's "Readymade" and "Love ka" Her new song "value" might be nice too. (it's an apple ipad ad song, btw.) You guys might like it. :)
I don't really get why anyone would want subtitles for a vocalist singing in a language you don't know on the first listen. All it does is distract from the actual performance. Just look up the lyrics later.
That’s how you feel. Many people also like to see what the lyrics are to better understand the emotions of the singer. So no need to be so passive aggressive
People are wired differently. I watch foreign language shows with subtitles without taking my eyes off the screen, because my brain can still vaguely process the text without completely focusing on it. Sometimes there's dialogue that is complex in some way, and then I need to focus on it, but for the most part I can do both. I understand that not everyone can do this, but I can, so I do. On the other hand, what I can't really do is talk while watching something, because I lose track of what's happening, and it boggles my mind that the other people talking while watching can catch any of it, but that's how it is.
Fleeting Lullaby, Show, Readymade, Aishite Aishite Aishite
Don't forget Backlight
That song is lit
This please!!
Don't forget ”Tot musica”.

“Hardcore Lounge”🤣
What a perfect yet oxymoronic description😂
Please also react to the singer songwriter Ringo Sheena (original singer of this song). She is a legend.
The "distorded piano" instrument is called Hammond Organ, pretty dope instrumnt.
Ado’s feeting lullaby, show live version so fun❤dignity live version so beautiful 😂and aishite cover so crazy voice recommended 🎉

Ado is a great singer, prefer the original Ringo version though

Definitely check out "Backlight" and "Show". The instrumentation in show is phenomenal, and backlight is more of the rock tuat you like
I subscribed! Cant wait to hear more Ado from you going forward! Please keep it up! I love it 😊
some favorites of mine that you should check out. rebellion, rasen, show, odo, value, gira gira.
この曲のは有名な昔の曲です。その曲を才能と感情が爆発した20歳の女の子が叫び歌いその実力にベテランのバンドマンが答えていくって聞くと面白いですよ。
Dude on the right just wants to listen and left dude will not stop talking😭 i think u guys need to try just listening to the song and actually feeling it first then listen again and pick it apart.
What do ya mean, “No subtitles”? The subtitles are all through the video… In Japanese.
😭😭😭

Bro it took me 40 seconds to realise the guy on the left was the one with a deep voice and not the other way around 😅

@@HENERlKO I very clearly said what I meant, how is that being "passive aggressive" lol

Study Japanese.
That way, you won't have to read the English lyrics degraded by translation.
聞く気無いだろ?
