Excellent video, very clear and straight forward. I've worked on motorcycles for years, not so much on cars so I also watched this to check if the tools I have will do the job, I don't have a breaker bar so I'm hoping that between my long torque wrench and an extendable wheel bar I'll get the job done. After this I'll be taking out the egr valve to clean.
Straight forward instructional video..no hairs or graces...spot on lad. Rather than tackle the hard to reach calliper holder have you tried undoing the central hub bolt ..this allows the disc to be extracted ..any way well done very imformative
No, that might be a good solution, but this bolt is a one time use, so to be safe you must then replace it with another new stretch bolt. It's expensive and you must have a large 200NM tourque wrench.
if you can't get the caliper holder off, you can loosen the wheel bearing instead and pull them out a bit while pulling the disc. that way, you can change the disc without loosening the holder, if you should have a problem with it, so to speak swe: om man inte får loss bromsokshållaren så kan man lossa hjullagret istället och dra ut de en bit samtidigt som man drar med skivan. på de sättet kan du byta skiva utan att lossa hållaren, om man skulle få problem me den så säga
An excellent video, May I just ask, is the 14mm bit at 8:01 a standard star bit, or is it different? I know some VW bolts etc have very special tools! Again, an excellent video.
I break the bolt (21mm Head) that holds the disc. After I have decided leave everything as it was and took new discs and pads back to shop. However I managed to change rear pads.
If anyone decides to do this, I do not recommend using the car jack in the car. Theres a reason why there called widowmakers. Use the jack only on stable flat ground and only if absolutely necessary.
Use the jack to raise the car, but then prop it on stands... or at the very, very least, put the removed wheel under it, and never, never, never put your head under unless it is VERY securely propped.
Hei. Jeg har en 08 mod hvor skiver og klosser ble byttet før jeg kjøpte den. Etter bytte så vibrerer det forran akkurat som om det et kast i skive, men det kommer og går.........lurer på om det er noe utenhet mellom skiven og navet.
Some say a 9v smoke detector battery will do it; other say you can disconnect the motor and manually wind it back with an Allen key - I have NOT tried either, so I can't vouch for them. However, a 12v battery is cheap in comparison with a garage doing the job!

@@TheMightyThim Fair point keep up the good work
Hey thanks brother, was not thinking so simply on the rear parking brake. Add power to it, of course! Thank you!
Yes, indeed, squeshing not allowed! Thanks for the video.
Tusen tak for videoen, dette var veldig hjelpsom.

@@pleatedskirt18 indeed, it can be M14 XZM, looks like a big torx head. Very neat to have as it do not costs much and is widely used on modern cars 👍
@@TheMightyThim Thanks for the quick and detailed reply. I have just ordered one and, with any luck. I can get this sorted tomorrow.

Also servo-motors plastic housings had broken holding clips where screws goes, so changed servo motors as well with rear pads.

Mulig det er dette, eller dårlig hjullager.
Is that copper grease you used? Then the other product is blue loctite? I’m familiar with the process to replace but not those products
Copper grease works for the brake glide pin 👌
Excellent
Wich kind of battery it is ? Is it only 6volt battery??
Any 12v! Battery will do. Do not use 6v

Skal man ikke ta parkeringsbrems motoren ut igjen etter å ha presset inn stempelet?
Det skjer automatisk etter å presse på pedalen og skru på håndbrekket.
Im korean.. you good
Thank you
